i can understand maybe shallow stained lakes, but for highland reservoirs that are deep and clear/slightly stained, i havent found a better setup and i been smallie fishing 25 years.  just ask KVD's dad and brother about fishing erie with em. and that guy who won the elite on erie last year. he was dipping his jackell worms in the stuff.

i wish they would make a tight container though

nice catches ... are you sure that glup is the reason you are catching these fish ??? or do you believe you could have caught these same fish with a non gulp product .... im not a fan of the gulp ... i love the good ol power worm myself ... i also picked up a few bags of the chigger craws ,,, so i do believe berkley makes good plastics ... however im not a fan of gulp at all .... i dont like the plastic or the way it dryes up and turns to cement on your hook .... i know small gripes ,, but its enough for me to buy other brands than gulp products ... just my thoughts ... im betting i could have sent ya out there with just about any plastic and you could have caught those same bass .... at the end of the day bait presentation will always be most important IMO ... nice fish man ,,, im in no way trying to down you are your bass ,,, just aking a few questions ...

i hear ya. i would say that i could catch the same quality of fish withouthem, i have most of my life.  but when the fish are feeding on the alewifes in the lake, this bait is hard to beat. it has its place on the pedestal, just like the jig does on a craw bite. i love to dropshot the deepwater and for me it works. i am a die hard smallie man so i guess that is why i am partial to them. i have caught smallies 4-1 over LM, which suites me fine.  i think more so than presentation is the key to using what the bass are feeding on, unless wanting to obtain a reaction strike in which case presentation is more important.  the shakey head is catching up to it though, but i find bigger fish with the gulp. :o

SOLUTION--don't remove the seal--use a knife & cut out the center only, leaving the rim of the seal--NO MORE LEAKS ;D

i still dont see how that would solve the leak problem. the juice would come out the slit and over the seal and throught he lid?? just curious

That Gulp stuff is terrible...especially the the Gulp Alive! 3 inch leeches! Don't even bother trying to buy the buckets of 3 inch leeches if you're in the Northern NY area...the stores are always sold out of them. The stuff is such junk I couldn't crack 6 pounds with a smallie last season with it...only three smallies over 5 pounds on Gulp. I guess I'll have to switch to something different this year!  :o

I read you could put the gulp alive in glad ware  containers if they start to leak , does anyone else do this if so do you think it a good idea?  Also the gulp alive does work i tried it may of time and i try others and the gulp alive works the best in my pond .

I was thinking of trying the  craws as a jig trailer/shakey head bait.  How many come in a pint?  Any experience using these?

The 3" craw i tried with gulp it was good  it came in a 10 pk and the 4" craw haven't tried but they come in The Berkley Gulp! Alive Baits are sold by net weight and not by count. A pint of 4'' Gulp! Alive Craws is equivalent to three packages (ten-count) of Gulp! Craws for an approximate total of 30 baits per pint.

But the contain i found to leak but i found a solution to it i store them in gladware entree contains it comes in a 5pk so it works if the contain starts to leak some contains do but not all of them

The edge of the seal is not disturbed. TRY IT --it works. :o :o

I got my butt handed to me 3 years ago on a spinnerbait bite.  I was literally outfished 4 to 1, same spinnerbait, burned above some vegetation and got smoked as he had a gulp trailer and I have a double twister tail.   >:o
