Deuceu72 Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Trappers Lake, Colorado. It is a natural lake on the top of a mountain high in the Rockies. It looks like an Ansel Adams picture. It's so high, that it doesnt thaw until the last week of May, 1st week of June. It is full of Native Colorado cutthroat trout. Gorgeous! Quote

Cigarlover 1 Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Wow great thread. I would have to say in my limited experience of being able to fish different waters my favorite so far and its not really even the whole lake but it's from the BR Fork trip. On the last day we were there I ended up on Art Thomleys boat with Alpster. We started the day fishing up a branch off the main lake, we started working our way back this cove and came to a small railroad trussel about 10 or 15 ft wide. We made our way through this and ended up trolling down this little branch of water that was maybe 30 ft wide. It was a mix of an Amazon setting and beautiful TX countryside. I kick myself to this day for not taking any pictures and no matter how well I explain it I can't do it justice. It was just really beautiful. Anyway that's my favorite to date. Quote
