Rage Products Questions

I have been looking over there stuff in the strike king catalog and there stuff looks really good.  Looking for any suggestions on which one of there products to buy and what colors.  Rigging techniques as well.  

Where is the best place to buy there stuff?  Thinking Bass Pro or Dicks.

If I had to pick just 1 it would be the Anaconda in green pumpkin and if I had to pick just 2 the next would be craw in green pumpkin and chartreuse.  And if I had to pick just 3 then I would go with the shad in smokey shad or green pumpkin.

Just bought 2 packs of Rage Craws at Dick's for $4.99 each.

$5.99 each everywhere else. Am going back at lunch today for some toads and shad. I think there is a video on Strikeking's website.

I have actually bought some of the Rage products (Toads, Shad and Craws) at my local Walmart for under 5 bucks a bag. They don't have the selection you would find at BPS but they usually have what I want anyways. I have looked for them in other Walmarts around here and most don't carry them, but a few do...check it out.

I really like the whole line.

The Rage craw and lobster are probably my fav for pitching.

I like the Rage craw chunk for my jigs.

The anaconda is a great worm with a unique profile.

The shads are an excellent topwater bait. You can almost bet that when most are throwing buzz baits, you can successfully throw a shad and catch the fish that they miss. And the shads are weedless! You can fish them over weeds and get some amazing hits!

Same with the Rage frog. I was fishing with someone and he was throwing a zoom frog and I was throwing the Rage tail frog. I caught 2 fish that denied his frog.

They also have lizards, and space monkeys-which is a creature bait.

I haven't had much luck with the space monkey, but I don't fish creature baits much. The lizard has a ton of action, but again, I dont fish lizards much. Maybe this year.

I like all the colors as long as it's Green Pumpkin!

I love the shad,  but I have also used the lizards, craws, lobsters, space monkey and the anacondas and have caught fish on all of them.   I have used You could check out the blog there are some rigging instructions on there.

I have the rage craw. Havent really used it but it has good action. I plan on tossing it more this year. Along with other rage tail baits.

I have had great luck with all of the baits. They all provide great action and a lot of water disbursement. As for the 10' Anaconda, I use an Owner hook 7/0 and I tx rig it. As for the Shad and Toads I like using a Gamakatsu 5/0 EWG hook. If you want more information shoot me a PM. I have been using these products successfully for almost a year now.

I haven't tried the rest of the baits, but the toad is by far the best buzz frog out there on the market - IMO.

I'm loving the Rage Shad, craziest top water hits i've ever experienced.  The tails on these don't last too long though but well worth the cost when you're getting slammed.

I used the Rage Tail Shad this year and it was AWESOME over the moss. It allowed me to fish areas that were almost impossible with other baits. It took me a while to get use to it, but you really have to wait to set the hook for best results.

Can't say that I disagree with any of the above listed comments and also if you go to the Rage Tail website and click on the Products Information page, you can get hooking instructions and alot of other information on each individual design as you choose. Just click on each picture of each design and you should be able to pull the info up. Also, the videos at the bottom of the home page are short clips and display the action of each and every bait. One is about 5 minutes and the other is about 3 min.

Another important thing is w/exception of the Anaconda's, look for the baits that are in hardshell clams inside the bag. These clear plastic clams protect the integrity of the shape and the design, so that the action is optimal with every single bait. Another point to remember is to use a minimum 5/0 EWG superline hook for the Toad and I prefer a 6/0. Let me know if you have any other questions. I haven't tried all of the baits in the lineup, but I intend to do just that.

Last year, the Shad and Toad were two fo the best producing baits I used, all year.

If you think you like toad fishing, then forget about all the rest; just get a few packs of Rage Toads. They are simply the best toad available. For an awesome bottom bouncing bait, try the Rage Toad on a Shake2 jighead. When the toads get too torn up to stay on a 5/0 EWG hook, I save them to rig on the Shake2 head.

The Rage Shad is great for anytime or anywhere you'd throw a buzzbait. For me, it was better than a buzzbait almost all of the time last year. For all you up North guys, try the Shad for weedline pike. Had a blast last fall in northern Minnesota catching 30-40" pike on the Rage Shad.

I've bought a bunch of these two baits to get ready for this year. I've also bought a dozen packs of Anacondas and Lobsters, to give them a shot. Based on my experiences with the Shad and Toad, I have high expectations for the rest of these fine baits.

soft GYCB products, you'll really be impressed with this bait. I fished

the 10" quite a bit late summer and fall. The only reason for using

another is when the first is lost. I have yet to wear a bait out. Maybe

that will happen with toothy critters, but not bass.

When I really have a problem with my baits gettin' tore up is when I am fighting or pressuring the fish too hard when reeling them to the boat, they come up on top and thrash and slash around. Tears up baits but it sure is a pretty sight.

I had a blast with the shads last year....nuff said. The chunks are the bomb and I just got some anacondas and can't wait to give them a whirl.
