sets hooks all day Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 i've been fishing for bass on beds for about a week to a week and half and they are still holding true to their spots, how long will the spawn last or how long will they be on the beds? Quote
Super User Raul Posted May 1, 2007 Super User Posted May 1, 2007 That depends on two factors, water temperature which incubates the eggs and how the schedule of the spawn has taken place, not all the fish in the lake spawn at the same time, the spawn period can take anywhere from two weeks up to two months. FatBoy Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 I was going to ask this very same question... That depends on two factors, water temperature which incubates the eggs and how the schedule of the spawn has taken place, not all the fish in the lake spawn at the same time, the spawn period can take anywhere from two weeks up to two months. I get that for all the bass to spawn can take a few weeks. But how bout this. Once a female is on a bed, how long does she stay there? And once they hatch and the male is guarding the fry, how long will he stay there? I understand that it depends on water temp, etc. But are we talking hours, days or weeks? Quote
