SuthernHaze Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I have been watching videos and reading articles about jigs. So i went to bass pro and looked at the selection. Wow. I though i knew exactly what i needed but i was wrong. so many to choose so here is what i am thinking. What do yall think: Booyah Boo Jig - 1/2 oz - blue/black - Yum chunk trailer not sure if that is the right weight tho... any opinions Quote
Bad to da Bass Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Sounds like a good setup. I think the highest weight 7/16 oz. On the Yum chunk trailer I would use a Netbait Paca chunk guys on this site of a lot of confidence in them. 8-) Quote
Super User CWB Posted February 17, 2009 Super User Posted February 17, 2009 1/2 oz. is good all around weight. 3/8 also. Fippin you might want to go heavier. Can't go wrong with black and blue. I like the rage craw and chigger craw for trailers. Football haeads for casting. Quote
Calcutta Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Paca craw for me, not paca chunk. Blue/black muddy water, Black/red in stained water.Just my opinion. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted February 18, 2009 Super User Posted February 18, 2009 The Booyah jig is a good, with a good hook, skirt, and head. I have 100's of them, and while they are not my favorite jig anymore, I still use them with confidence. The yum chunk is also a decent trailer, you'll do fine with this combo. A 1/2 oz. black/blue jig is a pretty versitile lure, you made a good choice. Quote
EastTexasBassin Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I love the booyah boo jig, but I use a gycb flappin hog for a trailer. Quote
