DRat Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 I agree with rooster tail. Try chartrues and silver, yellow, white. 1/8 oz. to 1/4oz. Try smaller 1st. Quote
Bass Smacker Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 I would use a small black rooster tail. Use it as a serch bait and when you find them switch to a soft plactic. Always works for me on the ponds I fish.... ;D Quote
bassin365 Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 I have also had good luck with small red/green spinners Quote
BassManMissouri Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 First off I'm new to this forum. As you can see this is my first post. I have been fishing LM for over 30 years. About 12 years ago we put our first pond in. It's 5 acres the deepest point is 14'. I have studied pond mangement for the last 11 years and with the help of the state of MO I can honestly say that you can grow huge bass from small bodies of water. The LM state record in MO is almost 13 pounds. The largest bass I have taken from our pond is 11.5 pounds. If the bass in your small pond are only growning to 10-15" you have way to many. As a rule of thumb one should remove 20-25 smaller bass for every acre of land mass in water per year. Quote
armesjr Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 I agree with GotOne42 about fishing with tubes. I have a lot of luck with gizit tubes in dark colors fished around weedbeds. Quote
