lookin_for_5 Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Catt, Im not sure on the speed of the retrieve but rebel makes a chart. grasshopper with a nice rattle and covers down to around 4 feet also make a teenycraw in a deep diver that go's to around 6 feet. I would try the craw in brown with an orange belly. Hit the ends of the riffles where the water just starts to slow and cast around the rocks there. Quote
Guest avid Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I know this is not the appropriate place to post a report on an outing, but I'm dying to know what technique you used. If you could put in a quick blub and a reference to a more detailed thread in "my outing" that would be great. I love fishing that kind of water, and there is nothing I am aware of anywhere in Florida that even remotely resembles it. I used to fish for smallmouth in exactly the same kind of water in NY. Those were my favorite fishing trips. Sigh!!. Tell your story brother. Quote
Super User Catt Posted April 9, 2007 Author Super User Posted April 9, 2007 Well avid my friend you gonna have to wait since our weather Saturday was 38 degrees with rain and sleet. Today I'm off but I'm watching my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter while her mother has surgery. Then I work for the next 5 days so needless to say I don't know when I'll be able to hit Toro Quote
