I once caught a bass in the back rivers of the potomac (which were about 1-2' deep max) and when I brought it up it had my jerk bait in it's mouth along with a small 2" baby bass. I caught two bass with one lure lol! It was neat, I released it though, nobody had a camera to take a picture. It was fun though!  ;)

Thats wild frogtog. A fellow guide caught a human head a few years back. It ended up being the head of a decapitated murder victim that was being investigated. I don't care how strong your stomache is, I have smelled human remains after they have been dead for awhile and it is, well.....................

i have done that caught one in my pond using minnows and it had a perch fish in its mouth about 2-3 inches long but they say that they regurgitate them when u hook them.

Yeah, I've seen that in a fish tank in the Fredericksburg bass fishing show. The guy had a minnow on a hook and the bass took the minnow and he set the hook on the bass and started to reel it in, the bass got off with the minnow still in it's mouth, it swam to the bottom and regurgitated the minnow, the minnow was still alive, but it was later eaten by the other bass in the tank lol!  ;D

I can't remember what kind of fish it was that was in the other bass' mouth that I caught. It might have been a small perch or minnow, because I don't think bass will eat their young will they? I don't think they are cannibals  :o

I have a couple of whoppers to tell.

1)2lb Bull Frog on a fly.

2)40lb catfish on a Rooster Tail.

3)LMB with 2 lures in his mouth.  I snagged one and pulled him in.  I never got a hook set on him.

4)On a family fishing trip, when I was a child, my brother and I were putting the boat in the river/lake and our dad was by the bank watching when our dad said "Through me the keys."  My brother threw them 5ft over his head into the water.  Since we were about 15miles from anything, we started looking and dragging the bottom for the keys.  We finally gave up after a few hours, decided to fish and hope someone would show up.  Well after about four hours of fishing, I snagged the keys on the other side of the lake far away from the car.  I was using a deep diving crank.  The chances of doing that in the lake we were in have to be 1,000,000 to 1 but it happened.

Similar thing happened to my dad and mom. They wen't catfishing in the potomac and they were using a multi rig (more than one hook) and dad had a nice catfish on the line and it pulled his rod into the water. They spent hours searching for the rod, and finally later on in the day my mom snagged it and brought it back up. But when she did, dad and mom realized an amazing sight!

On the multi rigs there was at least 3 nice size catfish on them! This is a true story and my mom and dad keep telling it lol!  ;) 8-)  :o

This looks like it would have made a good thread around Halloween.I caught 2 fish on the same cast once but some of these catches are my worst nightmare.

Muddy,that was funny! ;D

I also caught two fish on one cast. My mom, dad and I went striped bass fishing and we were using the umbrella rig. My pole went over and it felt like I was fighting a shark! I did the old deep sea fishing reeling where you pull back and reel, repeat. And finally when the fish got to the surface there was a 37" striper on one hook and a 32" on the other!

What a fight, I was worn out after that lol!  ;D :D

Talk about a double team!  ;) ;D ;D ;D :P 8-)

*Sighs* Same thing happened to me when I was bass fishing, except it involved a pike, not a catfish...

I have caught a few socks and a shoe. Every year i catch some large florida sofshell turtles as well. One that i will always remember is when i was reeling in a bluegill and a watersnake jumped out from some bushes and grabbed it. i swung it ashore and had to coax it to let go of the bluegill... My prize catch however, was in a lake near downtown Atlanta... I promise you I caught a condom on a rapala. I thought it was a pipe or another small sock, but no no it was a condom :o. A friend of mine caught a golden high heel in his lake once.

It's been several years now, but one time while catfishing on lake weiss(from the bank) with a buddy and some family I accidently let a stringer full of fish get away. I thought I had the stick stuck in the ground good. Probably about 15 pounds of fish got loose along with the stringer. It was the days catch!! But not to worry approx. 45 minutes later I caught the stringer and all the fish were still on it. Thought I had a monster cat though. ;D

Well, I was fishing my first bass tournament of last year on April 1st.  It was on a lake I have never fished.  My brother already had a 5 1/2lber on the boat.  I hooked up on a chatterbait and my drag was singing, I thought to myself, it would be a huge bass.  Then I seen a brown fish, and then I thought alright big smallie!  It was a 12lb carp.  :'(

I once caught a 20lb carp on a crank. I thought it was a muskie because he was striping 50lb power por like it was mothing. I have also caught a few lures. My buddy once caught about a 10 pound cat on a spinner bait. I have also caught a 5 pound pike fishing spinners on day. What was werid is that I was hold the lure out of the water aobut a foot looking for a spot to cast to. Then I  felt a heard a crash in the water and my rod almsot snaps. It scared the heck out of me and my buddy. He thought I fell in the water is was that loud of a splash.

I once caught a thick wallet on a jig. When I got home I called the owner and his wife answered.  I told her what I had caught at Beltzville Lake, and that I noticed that some of the papers were falling out as I was reeling it in.  In a snide tone, she said it was probably the money that had fallen out when you found it. Now I was steamed I told her no, I believe all the money is still there and probably 20 credit cards were still there, and that it was just some small white papers that I noticed had fallen out.  She asked me if I could deliver it to her some 30 miles away.  I said no, if you want it you come and get it, or send me a self-addressed stamped big envelope so I can send it out.  Several days later the owner came to pick it up and apologized for his wife.  He thanked me and told me to keep all the money in the wallet.  I said No, you keep it all, and when you have the chance do something nice for someone else, just make sure it's not your wife.
