SAL #431 comes from Choke Canyon lake located south of San Antonio. I'm very surprised that this is the first in along time from Choke.      Last few years, team and individual tourneys have required 30+ lbs to win a one day tourney, and even hitting the 20 lb mark has been no quarantee of getting a check. On average of 35 places paid, you needed close to 25 to get a check.

Josh Kellers secret is out!!!!!

Matt,

Did you not think we were already excited?!?!?!??  We still have 6 more days to wait... my boss already expects nothing out of me this week.  ...lol

Are you settled in to a new job yet?  Any chance you are going to be out there next week?

Short story,    Another company took over, I inherited another hospital in Dallas, and a third is being renovated in Grand Praire to be opened in Jun/July.    Been working 6-7 days and nights.    I'm the only Biomedical Engineer on the payroll.

Fork is on like Donkey Kong.

I do plan on being out there, just don't know how much time I will have.   That depends on what breaks and when.

Well lunchbox, can you give us some details like where? As you can see, we come from all walks of life and promise not to hole set for more than 5 days. LOL

Thats what is nice about Fork, any creek, any area, any MOOK can catch one.

the calliham store has pics of the choke bass. Its giant! The guy was fishing the tournament there, and his first fish was 6.5 lbs, then he caught that one. he caught them off a black/blue jig in the timber.

I also fished sunday and my 5 biggest went 31 lbs. all before the rains came at 2 pm.  The fish are staging. Caught all of mine off mainlake points at the mouths of coves in 8 - 15 feet on a c-rig brush hog.

I caught # 429. Trust me I am no "Mook"  I caught it in the middle of  White Oak . Fishing was also hot in Pensan creek. We got a 10 and an 8 1/2 in there also.  No Name creek was producing good as well.

"MOOK" is a term of endearment here at Bassresource. ;) (see the lake Fork thread)

Mr Carey, any chance you'd be stopping in to meet up with us next week?  And congrats on your SAL!!

S.carey,

Welcome aboard!

You are our only member with a Share Lunker.

Congratulations!

p.s. The picture of you and your fish is great, but that fish looks like it could have weighed twice as much as it really did. Awesome!
