I've been hearing rumors the last couple days of a 20lb-plus out of North Central California this week. All kinds of differing tales happening, but anybody have any bets?

Stuck on a swimbait allegedly, by a Japanese man from the Evergreen company allegedly, bottomed out a 19 or 20lb scale (stories differ) allegedly. As you can see, it is awful "alleged" :P

I confess.  It was me.

I shot out to visit redlinerobert last weekend and we stuck a real pig.  28.75lbs.

Forgot the camera

Robert didn't want to get slime in the Lambo so we just let her go.

Sorry, we'll document the next one better.

Don 't they catch 20 pounders every now and then ?

So actually 20 pound plus should be 22+ to begin wondering.

Because also included are rumors that DFG ( department of fish and game) officers were called to certify it. So actually I'm still wondering, but I HIGHLY HIGHLY ( <---- highly) doubt it.

The only hole in this story is that Redlinerobert would have called UPS in leiu of using the Lambo  to haul this fish knowing he had an inside track on pickup and delivery. Plus if this was true Redline would be sponsored by UPS and have a UPS brown wrap on that new Ranger  :o.

Can you see Redline wearing the brown uniform with shorts fishing that new Steez equipment with that beautiful Ranger wrapped in UPS brown.....NOT

Now I can see LBH fishing in the brown shorts off the back of a UPS truck illegally parked at the end of some dock.....all after he convinced his boss that this would be great advertising so he didn't have to take vacation time.....sly fox that LBH

Jigs Tackle is a popular store near the "alleged" site and they have no record of at WRB caught. being that the dude was japanese you know there'd already be 100 pics taken and floating around by now ;D ofcourse I can say this being japanese  ;)

we all know that people say they caught it on a swimbait to get sponsorships. both weakly's 25 and the rumored 20+ were both caught on a creme 3 hook worm with a spinner in front ;D ;D

I like this rumour.

It's a little more creative than the usual crap.

a Japanese lure rep, would not go for hoopla.  He would quietly seek certification.

then when the catch wieght, method, and all other legal requirements were satisfied. His copmany would make an official announcement.

It it's more than a rumour, we'll know pretty soon.

PS when you "bottom out" a 20 lb scale, all you know is that the fish weighs MORE than 20lbs.

HOw much more is impossible to know till you get to a larger certified scale.

LBH,

I TOLD YOU no one would believe the story.  Had we gone with option one and bought a point and click at the 7/11 we wouldnt be having this issue.

By the way, the Lambo STILL SMELLS LIKE FISH.   >:(

Well I've done somthing close before.  Eric met me on route the day I got the Fenwick from RW.  Of course he sent it with a spooled up reel, lol  Eric met me with a jig and we made some casts with it.  Otherwise, I have 2 general areas I deliver that have fishing holes on them.  I have rods at 2 tackle shops out there and they aren't there for looks ;)  Good thing I'm going to be working inside again,.........lol
