Guys,

I was wondering your opinion on weather or not changing Day light Savings is going to effect the spawn or not?  I have been thinking that the increase in sunlight that will now happen a month earlier may cause water temps to rise earlier than before thus causing the spawn to take place a few weeks earlier.

Am I crazy for my thinking or is this something that others have considered as well???   :-?

As far as I know, we do not control the sun. ;D ;D ;D

The only thing daylight savings effects is us. ;)

Many years ago I visited the state capitol in Little Rock and there was a letter posted on the wall that a lady had sent to her state senator asking him not to vote for dayling savings time because her poor flowers couldn't stand another hour of sunlight each day. I hope you are not offended by these comments, just think about it.

The bass dont set their clocks back, the DST only effects the angler

Be nice, guys.

Seriously, I'm kind of stoked about it starting three weeks early. It will give me some 15 hours of extra "after work" pre-spawn bass fishing.

Its funny...but there is the aspect of the days being longer regardless of what your clock says. Im sure someone could find a way to discuss how this affects fish (even though it has occured since the beginning of time).

Feel the Steel is in good company. The Arizona State Legislature refused to adopt DST because they were afraid that the extra hour of sun would burn the crops. Arizona and part of Indiana are the only areas of the country that have not adopted DST to this day.
