FIN-S-R Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 In the teens and snow on the ground in okieville, but theres not a snowballs chance in HE!! I wont be on the water this weekend. A bad cold windy snowy day fishin is better than a good day of anything else. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted February 17, 2007 Super User Posted February 17, 2007 Hey, I was out last weekend, throwing a hookless Spook out across the ice. I've been cleaning and lubing all my reels. I always leave the line on so I can try them out after I've put them back together. For some reason I don't always get them put back together just right, and I can't tell until I've casted them a few times. My back yard doesn't have enough open space to allow for test casting, so, it's out to the lake to make a few trial casts. I'm just happy nobody stopped to ask if I was catching anything. Cheers, GK Quote
0119 Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Its been so warm this winter that the bass started spawning in mid Dec. and in my local waters the spawn is now done. Just this last week or so did we get the first true cold weather. Its really messed up mother nature around here. Snook and Manatees havent left for there normal winter grounds and arent expected to fair to well in the now cold water. Quote
