Do you guys have a lucky charm when fishing?

Well, i do! I have a pair of lucky underwear, no kidding! The only problem is they are like five years

old and full of holes. My wife said she wont wash them anymore and is going to throw them away.

She better not do that! I know it's pretty stupid but i seem to (almost) allways catch more fish when i have them on. it's just a confidence thing. I hope you guys don't think i'm nuts for admitting this because it's true. LOL

Heres an idea in stead of your wife throwing the dawrs out put the in your tackle box.If they stink put them with the catfish bait....

i have two good luck charms....one is my camo remington hat with the trademark fishing hook on the brim...cant forget that!! and the other is a 2 year old booyah spinnerbait that i just seem to catch a bass on everytime i use it...its all torn to pieces now but i keep it in my box and sometimes hook it to one of the holes in my hat for good luck!!

I like to think of myself as my own lucky charm.  This way I'm sure to never leave myself at home when I go out on the lake.   ;D

I dont actually think its a good luck charm but i must represent fishing... so i wear a bass fishing hat and try to wear a bass related shirt as well,  I wear the hat  thats related to fishing 99% of the time

I don't have any lucky thing but i do find wearing a hat unlucky for me.  I am probably one of the few people who don't wear a hat when they fish but i just don't do as good with a hat on.

Being from South Louisiana and having a maternal grandmother who was a Cajun, I have some charms and rituals that I follow.

Many of the football, basketball and baseball players at LSU had rituals that they had to follow when they dressed out for the games or when they ran onto the field or court.  Pistol Pete's socks are an example. He never washed them once the season began and he wore them for all games.

When I went to Viet Nam in 1968 my aunt, another Cajun lady, gave me a St. Christopher's medal that I had blessed.  I still wear it today and I feel naked without it.

So, yes, I guess my St. Christopher medal is my lucky charm now.

But I still will not change positions in my chair when I am watching an LSU football game and the Fighting Tigers are doing well as I beleive it will bring bad luck to the team.  My grandmother taught me that one! She also could put the "gris gris" on someone as I do when I watch the games and the other team has the ball.

Crazy? Probably.  But I think it all works.

I have an old, ratty, straw hat that I have always worn for the last ten years. Do I consider it a good luck charm? NO!  It keeps the sun off me!  If I lose the hat, I will buy another.  I'll say it again. It's just a hat! There i no such thing as a lucky"thing."  

What do you think will happen to your fiahing ability when your lucky shirts, shorts, shoes, socks, etc. finally have to go into the trash?  Will you suddenly become a fishing moron?  Jeez!  If you want Lucky Charms buy the cereal.

I don't believe in " luck " or charms. If you think that wearing your tighty whiteys with the little brown spot in the back makes you catch more fish then, have at it. Just stay in the back of the boat away from me, lol. ;D

I will not catch a fish on the first cast if I can help it. I will throw an idiotic lure to an idiotic location and bring it back in an idiotic way. I also like to stop at a waffle house on the way to the lake, but that is just because I'm gonna be there all day and tey are the only ones open.
