Super User Chris at Tech Posted January 31, 2007 Super User Posted January 31, 2007 Guys, I know the ATL BPS accepts old reel donations in exchange for a discount towards the purchase of a new reel during the Spring event. Question is do all BPS do this for their spring events? The BPS website shows ATL doing this, but it doesn't mention it for the Macon store, and I'm planning on hitting the Macon event next weekend. Just curious Thanks Chris Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 1, 2007 Super User Posted February 1, 2007 I think all of the stores have a trade in policy during the event. The Memphis store does. It's a great opportunity to get rid of Daiwa, Pflueger, Garcia, BPS, Johhn Morris and Quantum reels...and replace them with Shimanos! 8-) Quote

squid Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 THEY ALL DO....THEY CLEAN AND FIX THEM UP AND DONATE THEM TO CHARITY FISHING FUNCTIONS AND YOUTH FUNCTIONS. I WAS ABLE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS MY FIRST YEAR RUNNING MY YOUTH PROGRAM. THEY GAVE ME ALMOST 30 REELS AND SOME NEW/USED RODS FOR THE KIDS. AWESOME DEAL THERE TO TRADE THOSE REELS IN FOR SHIMANO'S Quote
sirmo Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 About what do you get per reel. Assuming still in decent working condition? Might have to make a drive to the Orlando BPS and check out this sale! Quote
harshman Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 the discount you get is based on how expensive of a reel you purchase, or it was at least that way in the past. You only get to trade one reel for one reel, you can't trade in 5 junks and get a higher discount, doesn't work that way. Harshman Quote
