Main Lake Point

OK, time to reveal my lack of knowledge. I read all the time about the importance of main lake points and secondary lake points. Can someone explain what these are? Pictures would be wonderful since I am a visual learner. Thank you.

Thank you, that helps a lot. Is there a way to identify these points from land? No boat.

If you see bass busting shad on the surface it is a good chance that the fish are on a point.
