fisherman dan Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 what would yall say is the best bass publication out there today? Quote
squid Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 I enjoy the big 3...my big 3....Bassmaster, Bassin, and FLW. Every now and then I can find a local mag...depending on what state I am in...and will get that one....might be chaulk full of info that I can use for the lakes in that area. Quote
noxpertjim Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Here's my vote for Bassmaster and Bassin'. I've only seen a couple issues of FLW at the local WM, and no one around here reads it. Might have to check that one out... ***Modified for some really bad grammar*** Quote
NEBassMan Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 I get Bassmaster, but i also enjoy In-Fisherman. Jason Quote
Ky_Lake_Dude Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 BASSMASTER all the way no other national bass publication even comes close. Quote
Cajun Caster Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 I will echo Squid: Bass Master, Bassin and FLW Quote
BassBeat101 Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Personally, Bassin' has its place as my go to mag for information on fishing itself. It has the most number of articles that fancasts several different topics. BassMaster is good as I enjoy reading about the tourneys and what not, plus I enjoy the day on the water segments. But if I had to pick one subscription, it'd be Bassin'. I do like to read the Illinois/Missouri Game and Fish publications as well - good local, season info with tips. Daryl Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted January 19, 2007 Super User Posted January 19, 2007 Bassin and Bassmaster ;D Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 19, 2007 Super User Posted January 19, 2007 #1 "Fishin' magazine...In-Fisherman. #1 Bass Magazine...GYCB "Inside Line." Quote
Triton_Mike Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I literally can not believe the Inside Line got only ONE mention!!! Gary Yamamoto's Inside Line and Bass West are by far my favorites. Mike Quote
eastkybass Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I would have to vote for Bassin and Bassmaster. Quote
bitman Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 How can I get Inside Line?????? Ive never even heard of it!!!!! I like Bassin for what I can get around here, its got good info! I also subscribe to FLWs and Bassmasters and Bass Times and they all are good but Bassin is the best to me! I love Yammamoto lures and you got me curious RW! More info please Danny Quote
Triton_Mike Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Actually Basser913 thats to the plastic website. Here is a direct link to the magazine website. http://www.insideline.net/ Just click on subscribe now over on the right hand side Mike Quote
Super User senile1 Posted January 19, 2007 Super User Posted January 19, 2007 I always assumed a magazine by a lure manufacturer would cover methods and patterns relating to its own products, so I've never given Inside Line a look. It's 15 dollars for only six issues. I have some questions for those who are familiar with this mag. Is it worth the price? Does it cover subjects other than methods and patterns relating to Gary Yamamoto's products? Thanks for any info you can provide. Quote
Infidel. Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I always assumed a magazine by a lure manufacturer would cover methods and patterns relating to its own products That has been my experience with the magazine. It's like the one that Pure Fishing puts out for their products. It's helpful info but it seems their main objective is to plug their own stuff. But I only have a limited experience with that publication so maybe you should listen to someone who subscribes to it. I used to love In-Fisherman but it really seems to have lost something since Al left. All I read now is Bassmasters. Quote
bubbler Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 I love bassin and FLW magazine. these are great Quote
fishbowl807 Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 I like bassin and bassmaster. I've been tempted to try FLW how is it ? Quote
