Yes thanks for a great site  and the time and effort put into it.   It's ashamed that he couldn't disagree in a more positve thought out way instead of ranting.   Thats what the forums are for if he had a problem he could have discussed it in a cival way and it might have actually been interesting and eduacational

Yeah, the best forum by far. I was glad that post was removed. I have found that a lot of the articles are very informative and have helped me a lot over the past year. Keep it up with the articles. What has helped me the most though is that any question I have had has been answered in the forum. THX

He seems very knowledgeable and he will be great help in the forum but the way he went about doing it seemed a little pushy. He has already added a bunch of good info in other posts but there is a good way and bad way to do it.

I 've known Craig for quite a while and he 's always been that same way, I do agree, sometimes he puts more "passion" in his comments than needed  :-/ but still, he can be a true fountain of knowledge and you can learn a lot  from him so don 't judge him too harshly.

I disagree, Raul. Wealth of knowledge or not, I will not tolerate arrogance here. It does not grant you special permission to circumvent common courtesy. The very best in our sport know far more than we hope to remember, yet they never talk down to you nor do they bash other anglers/authors. Can you even image Bill Dance, Rick Clunn, Larry Nixon, Mark Davis, etc. behaving in such a manner?! Never! In fact, the more knowledgeable the person, the more respectful I expect them to act.

Thank you all for acknowledging the effort the mod squad and I put into this little project.  We enjoy it immensely.

Amen to that Glenn. I already weighed in on the topic during the thread in discussions short life. I don't have anything else to add other than a thanks to the Mods for quickly getting a handle on what would have been a very very bad situation.

Very well said Glenn, and I'm glad that you made that clear.

Irrespective of one's knowledge or lack of knowledge, nothing is more underwhelming than vulgar delivery.

I am in 100 percent agreement with Glenn. Members with knowledge and expertise, should

ALWAYS strive to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. The number of younger

members on this forum is IMPRESSIVE, and as adults and parents ourselves we should act

like mature adults. If someone has a complaint, they can use the PM system that Glenn

has put in place.

As an advertiser, I can assure the members of this forum that Glenn is NOT making much if ANY

money from ads! Glenn, the mods and others work together to make this forum a class act!

All of us are VERY fortunate that people like Glenn are willing to donate their time and resources

so that we can gain knowledge, and discuss our passion of fishing with others!

There's a huge difference between knowledge and wisdom

Glenn's answer comes from wisdom

Eh...probably a good thing ya did. Probably better that most folks did.

Craig, IMHO you seem to have experience and knowledge relating to the topic you originally commented on. I don't think anyone is questioning that. It was probably more the way you delivered it rather than the message itself.

It is educational to read dissenting opinions, it gives us more to think about and options to consider, but to call an author an "idiot" or the contents of the article or story "crap" tends to make one think of arrogance rather than merely dissenting.

Many of us also take this sport very seriously and appreciate the fact that you may want to steer someone in the proper direction or clear up myths or misdirection, it just shouldn't be done by trashing another's article, story, or opinion.

Thanks and look forward to reading more from you.

Dear God, please put your arms around my shoulders and your hand over my mouth.

I don't think anyone is doubting your knowledge.  I think it was more just the way you posted about that article.  It just seemed to come out of no where, and from somebody that most of us had no idea who you are.  No hard feelings from me personally 8-)

I do not care who you are or what you know,You have no right talkig to or about people the way you do.And i will not listen to it. IMO you disgrace bass fishing and what i belive this site stands for.You need not worry about embarasing anyone here but yourself.

I missed the ranting and raving, but I have a very strong suspicion it was from the very same individual who took it upon himself to question the honesty and integrity of a very well respected contributor to this site.  If it IS the same individual, then I have seen several of his "holier than thou" postings, and am speculating that he was a thorn long before I discovered this site about four months ago.  To my knowledge, this is the second time that Glenn and/or the Mods have drawn the line with him and have deleted his rants.  For all I know, it may have happened before.

I assume that this individual has been PM'd with warnings that he get off his soap-box, and hopefully, suggestions that he seek professional counseling.

As far as I'm concerned, if I never read another post from him it will be too soon - and I never saw his latest post.

sounds less about "teaching" and more about fluffing ones own ego.  your last post displays the condescending and arrogant tone I saw in the first post.

I didn't think there was anyone alive who knew ALL the truths about bass fishing.

Long Mike - different guy.  But you're right, PM's have been sent.

Craig - I DO hope you understand it is the manner and method in which your "help" was delivered, and not the accuracy or depth of the information that was presented, that is cause for concern.  From what I gather from various PM's from different people, your post, and a similar one on a different forum, is out of character for you. Unfortunately, most people here do not know you, including me.  So our perception of you is based off that post.

I'm always open to suggestions.  Just PM me with your thoughts.

And in case you aren't sure yet, yes I am the site owner.

Glenn
