well yesterday my wife bought for me  4 strike king series 5 crankbaits in sexy shad, 1 DT10 rapala crankbait in shad color, another quantum accurist pt, and 2 new abu garcia ambassadeur rods cheap but like them alot. i really sugguest the accuris that reel is sweet i have 3 now and plan on getting a couple more. how many rods do you guys suggest in the boat. i have 9, 7 baitcasters and 2 spinning. how many do you guys carry?

nice. i really dont have a reccomendation on how many to carry, but i have 3 baitcasting and one spinning, with another baitcaster on the way. i would guess the more the better to have certain baits rigged so you dont have to cut off and tie on another.

I carry everything I have  ;D

1.  St. Croix 7' MH with a Revo SX for soft plastics, 12 lb. Gamma line

2.  Bass Pro Extreme Rod 7' MH with a Revo SX for flipping and pitching/frog rod, 30 lb. Sufix Braid

3.  Quantum PT 7' MH with a Quantum Tour Edition Burner reel for spinnerbaits, crankbaits, lipless, big topwaters, 10 lb. Gamma line

4.  6'6" M Cabelas Fish Eagle II Rod with a Shimano Citica for finesse worms, jerkbaits, and small topwaters, 10 lb. Gamma Line

5.  6' Cabelas Spinning rod with a Shimano Sahara for drop shotting and grubs (primarliy a smallmouth combo) 10 lb. Gamma Line

Really depends on the boat. Bass boat, load it up. Semi "V", 6 or so. Canoe, 2 or 3. The last thing you want to do is be cramped for space and crunch one of your rods.

The Accurist PT from Cabela's at $59 is the best deal going. I have stayed away from Quantum until last year after using some of my buddies rods. I have to say, 3 rods and 3 reels later,I am loving them. I am hoping Cabelas has the accurist on sale for about another month, Im wanting another.

Oh and congrats on finding the best wife on the planet ;)

My girlfriend informed me that my valentines day present was supposed to be a 7" MH st croix mojo. Unfortunately it is on backorder, but even so it should be here before ice out!
