Fish Chris Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 I haven't..... but will get it today. I think their might be a few states in which your license are good for 1 year from the date of purchse, huh ? Here in Cali though, it's Jan. 1st to Dec. 31st. Meaning, if you buy your license on Dec. 15th, it's only good for 2 weeks ! Speaking of fishing license, how much do your states charge ? Here in Cali, if you buy the main license, plus the enhancement stamps (two rod and bay delta) it's like $45....... which is a lot for somebody who only fishes a few times a year. But for me, it's an absolute steal of a deal ! The best money I spend all year :-) Works out to like .30 cents a trip :-) Peace, Fish PS, Just don't let it get past you ! A no license ticket in Cali will cost $400 to $600 !!! Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Just Texas, not RI yet, lol. Quote
Hillbilly_Hooker Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Virginia just went to a 12 month license, good for 12 months from the date of purchase, this past summer. Costs for '07 are $34.00 per year for both freshwater and stocked trout waters, not including saltwater. To add in saltwater is another $12.00 annually. Hillbilly Quote
bassmasta7 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 In GA it is a year from when you bought it. I turned 16 in Feb. and i think i bought my license at the beginning of March. I will probably buy this year's license the day after my birthday so i can remember when I bought it. In GA, a year, resident fishing license is only $9. Quote
Super User Catt Posted December 30, 2006 Super User Posted December 30, 2006 On Toledo Bend a Texas or Louisiana license is acceptable; my state of resident's on my drivers, contractors, hunting, and fishing license is Louisiana. Louisiana Fishing Basic Fishing License $9.50 Salt Water License $5.50 Total: $15.00 Quote
playmaker47 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 i have a Kansas lifetime liscence.. it was around 880 for a fish hunt combo. a regular fishing liscense here is around 23 i think... it goes from january 1 through december 31, but if you buy one after Dec. 15th then it carries over to the next year... KS_Bassin Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 I'm with playmaker47, got my Lifetime hunting/fishing liscense no more worry about forgetting to buy one. ;D Quote
cabela10 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 You with the lifetime licenses, what happens if you lose it, whats the replacement costs? Quote
cabela10 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 I normally fish in Minnesota and Wisconsin. I think our resident license in Minnesota is around $18 but for a non-resident license for Wisconsin is $50. What a rip-off that is. Get to fish around 6-7 productive months a year. They should have seperate seasons up here. A Open water fishing license and a frozen water license for ice fishing. I get screwed cuz I don't ice fish. Oh well, nothing is ever fair. Quote
playmaker47 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 the lifetime liscenses are a card like a credit card or your BASS membership card. all the information is saved on the Department of Wildlife and Parks computers so you just have to go in a get a new card if you lose yours. i think it might be 5 or 10 bucks to get a new card. Super User Alpster Posted December 30, 2006 Super User Posted December 30, 2006 NJ basic fishing = 22.50 add 10.50 for a trout stamp. Although someone introduces legislation every year to start salt water licensing, so far, it's been shot down every time. I have to wait until next week to get a new one, if I bought it today it would expire tomorrow 12/31/2006. LOL Ronnie Quote

Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted December 30, 2006 Super User Posted December 30, 2006 Here in Michigan, our license will expire on March 31,07. I know our license fee is going to increase, but i'm not sure how much. The old fee was $15.00 and $15.00 for Trout and Salmon stamp. Falcon Quote
Pa Angler Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 In PA the fishing year is the Calendar year Jan. to Jan. My local baitshop didn't receive their allocation yet. I noticed that when I got a NY license that their's runs like from Oct. to Oct. I don't do any ice fishing so I can wait a few months. Chow Quote
Live.2.Fish Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Here in Nebraska its from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31. $20 takes care of everything. Fishing License $15 and Stamp $5. Quote
cabela10 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Our fishing season ends March 31, 2007 for the '06 season. I think mid-march is when the ice houses need to be off the lakes. Quote
RiskKid. Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 I fish in TN and KY. Both states expire the end of February. In February I'll be buying those and one for TX for the Fork trip.....does the bait monkey have something to do with this?????? ;D ;D Quote

BucketmouthAngler13 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 one of the good things about being 14 in NJ is that you dont need a lisence intil you are 16. Another good thing is that land owners are more likely to let a couple of youngsters fish their ponds than some dude with a bass boat. Quote
Guest JoshKeller Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 $64 good from aug 31 - aug 31. includes freshwater fishing, saltwater, migratory gamebird, upland gamebird, and 5 deer tags. Quote

BASS fisherman Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 I was at a tackle shop last weekend and they were selling the 07 fishing licenses. In Pa a resident fishing license is $21.00, but because 99% of the lakes around where I live are stocked with trout, I have to buy a trout/salmon stamp also which is $8.00. In addition I have to buy a Lake Erie stamp so I can fish in Erie which is also $8.00. But you can buy a combination trout/Erie stamp and the state shaves a little bit off the price, both together cost $14.00. So the total for a Pa fishing license is $35.00. I forgot to add that the license is good from January 1 through December 31. So if you buy the current year's license on Dec 1, it would only be good for 31 days. Quote
