Super User retiredbosn Posted February 12, 2009 Super User Posted February 12, 2009 Do these things work? I think they are a little pricey at 3.25 a piece, but if they really don't get hung up it would be worth it. Anybody use them? I fish a rock bottom snag infested river often and a lot of standing flooded timber, always looking for some way to loose less rigs. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 12, 2009 Super User Posted February 12, 2009 I have tried them and similar string or cord weights without any noticeable improvement in a river environment. Two thumbs down! Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 12, 2009 Super User Posted February 12, 2009 I suggest giving them a try and then letting us know what happens. Depending on the bottom structure, they may or may not work just as good as other options. Quote
zbass Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I have used them, in the past. Not worth the money. Line twisting little #$%#$%^ Quote
Super User retiredbosn Posted February 12, 2009 Author Super User Posted February 12, 2009 I had already purchased two 1/2 ounce sizes that I plan to use in the lake. I think I'll stick with the bullet weights for the river, those little crevices in the rocks are hard on line and rigs anyway. I would hate to lose a 3 dollar weight. Quote
CRFisher Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I bought one pack, lost them in a weekend to snags. I had worse luck with them than with other weights. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted February 12, 2009 Super User Posted February 12, 2009 I can't see them being very useful for bass fishing, unless you're trolling. They do work well when trolling. Quote
ROCbass Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 i bought a pack and never used them, but after sitting in my box for three years i found they make good practice plugs for the backyard. Quote
