Papa_Tom Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 My understanding is that by law you are not obligated to pay for, or return, items sent to you that you did not request. BASS does this also. The first year (two years ago) I mailed it back. Also filled out info to not send me anything else not requested. Just got a planner from them. It's gonna sit here until I decide to pitch it. I won't use it--something in me says that is not right--but I will not return this one. Quote
Guest avid Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 You cannot be held responsible for any "unsolicited mail". This is high pressure marketing. The question you have to ask yourself is "did I ever sign something that says I agree to give them the right to send me stuff> Check out your agreement. You know the stuff that says when you order online "you must agree to the following terms and conditions" Then we all scroll directly to the bottom and click "I agree" that's how they getcha. good luck avid Quote
shortbasser Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Do NOT open the packages. Write REFUSED, DID NOT ORDER on it and give it back to your letter carrier. They get charged for return postage and sooner or later they should get the message. I used to get them all the time to return for my customers. Book clubs are notorious for that. The key is NOT OPENING them. Shortbasser Retired USPS letter carrier Quote
Chris Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 I got the 2007 BASS daily planner in the mail. I canceled this subscription by phone 2 years ago. > Quote
