Anyone have any ideas for a good bass mag to subsribe to.It would be nice if they featured both large and smallmouth bass.If the subsription threw in some new lures that would be a plus too.Just kidding. Thanks for the help ahead of time.

Inside Line by Gary Yamamoto and FLW Outdoors are both great magazines.  If your not looking to learn much but enjoy looking at page after page of advertisements, then bassmaster and bassin are for you!

I think that the articles on this site combined with the vast knowledge of it's membership at your disposal with one quick question is better than any magazine out there.

I still like the In-Fisherman mags, great info usually.

Ebassin is full of to many ads. I never really liked any of the magazines out there so I cant give you a honest opinion. But why pay for a magazine when you can find all your questions online?

Done even waste your money on mags. All of these mags have web sites. On there web sites you can find every thing thats printed but adds. I stoped getting two magzines due to the fact I could find everthing online. Plus you can search and go back online. So save your 20 dollers and go to there web site.

I like Bassin Magazine myself... I need to subscribe myself...

AL

my first bassin' i read made me want to get a subscription, so i did. in MY CASE, they were ALWAYS late mailing them to me. ide see the new bassin in wal mart for literally a month before it ever reached my door. Another thing, they didnt tell me you dont get a magazine for all 12 months of the year. im not positive of the number, but i think you get around 6 mags a year! thats pretty slack in my opinion. Dont get me wrong though, the actually material inside the magazine is very good, they tend to focus on seasonal tactics opposed to all the other stuff i just flip by.

I know your lookin for a Bass specific magazine, but In-Fisherman is an excellent choice if your also interested in other species and all types of interesting fishing information.

boondocks did say Bass magazines so In-Fisherman is a multi-species magazine that isn't a Bass only magazine keep that in mind. I too get In-Fisherman but I'm a multi species Angler.

BASSIN' magazine only offers the most basic of info IMHO.  They never really dig into the meat of any article.  I buy it on occasion out of lack of anything better at the time I'm looking.

BassMaster is changing and I'm not so sure it's for the better.  The bass edition of FLW Outdoors is as good as BM and may be a bit better.

A lot of guys read Bass West and Inside Line.  Never had the chance to read either of those but have heard good things about them.

For my money, though, the best bass magazine of them all only gets published once a year in early spring.  That is the In-Fisherman Bass Fishing edition.  I absolutely devour any articles in there written by Steve Quinn.  He does the best in-depth writing on bass fishing topics of any writer I've ever seen.

Thanks for all the tips. I have a subscription to infisherman already, and I am also a multi species fisherman. As long as its considered a game fish I'll fishing for them. I kind of go through streeks were I'll really get into a fishing for a certain fish, for instance big pike in the early spring, then walleye and bass(both large and smallmouth) late spring and summer, then salmon and trout in the fall, then ice fishing for walleye and pike. And also bass(theres a power plant lake about 30 miles from where I live that I fish all winter) especially Jan and Feb. But I'd really like to target bass more in the spring and summer and hone my skills a tad. Im leaning toward Inside Line. I looked it up on the internet looks like a good mag. Once again thanks for the tips.

Also I'd like to add that this is by far the most informative and well run website on fishing a particular fish that I have ever seen. None even come close. I'll also add that the respect everyone shows to each other on here is unbelieveable. Awsome site you guys have here.
