I fish from shore and its a pretty good ways from the car to the shore I fish at mostly and I need a safe and easy way to get at least 3-4 rods down there. Something that would hold more would be nice so my friends could fit too. I'm not sure which one of these rod carriers would be safer and easier.

Any thoughts on which one would be better?

Hey Nick: I would contact Island Bass, right here on the forums. He put up some pictures of one he made himself, seemed like an easy project and was better than the ones you can buy.

If you do not make one, I would go with the second one.

Ya, me too! But take a look at the Bass Pro Rod Socks too.

If you only have 3 or 4, just velcro them together. You can get velcro strips anywhere. Always carry them backwards when you are getting to where you are going to be fishing. Won't break any that way.

You took the words out of my mouth.

I have the same situation and although I have yet to buy it, I plan on getting this one

Bantam says it can hold 8 rods with reels.

I was looking at the second one also but the reviews on the basspro site werent so hot. Also the shimano one is less bulky and cheaper

i have been looking at this one at Cabelas. seems pretty good and the reviews are also okay. i have not purchased it yet because i have been looking for a better way to store the rods on my 12ft aluminum boat and can't decide which way would be best.
