I was getting my boat ready to take to the lake for its maiden voyage. I got in my truck and noticed something was amiss. Then it dawned on me. Someone had gotten in my truck and rummaged around during the night(my mistake I left the window  open). Well I lost about $700 worth of CDs. I thought that was it,then I look in the back of my truck. All my rods and reels are still there as well as the 3 tackle boxes I own. What is missing is my Green Camo Army rucksack that had all my soft Plastics in it. In one way its aggravating,but in another way I guess the bait monkey could have taken it because I havent purchased soft platics in a long time,Guess its time to resupply!!

That stinks. I once left my nicest spinnerbait near i was fishing, by a sidewalk. I go away for a few minutes, come back and it is gone.

I never had anything too valuable stolen from me (thank God) but my buddy had all his tackle and one of his rod stolen lasst summer by a neighbor! We saw him fishin one day and I happened to notice his rod. I said "Hey Tom, is that your rod?" and so we called the cops and had that *** arrested and pressed charges! I said Good for ya, ya thief! I despise a thief!

People will steal anything that's not bolted down nowadays  What goes around comes around; I know it sounds stuiped but the world has a way of sorting things out.  Be patient, they will get what they deserve.

thieves suck...5 years ago i walk down the steps at 5 in the morning open the front door to go outside and put my stuff in my car only to realize that somebody must have needed it more than me. well they found the car the next day. parts stripped off of the motor, rims and tires gone, cd player gone, a case with 100 cd's gone, the column was broken all to hell. the police don't care much about stolen cars either. at least that was the impression that i got. the officer asked me if i wanted a police report taken. it was a crappy situation.

as for the cd's, invest in a dvd player for your car. They can be had for about $250, and a dvd burner will allow you to put 50 cds or so on one dvd disk.

Thieves should beware for their own safety as well. Back some years when I was still married to my Ex-wife the Deputy Sheriff, I was coming home late from work one night south of Houston, Texas when to twenty something aged young men wanted to relieve me of my wallet. I was just exiting my vehicle when they approached me. Now I have never on my best day looked rich, by most any standard, and why some people think because there is two of them that makes it ok is beyond me. It was midnight and any of the good old boys in Texas can tell you back a few years about the After Dark Law in Texas. Being a former Army Drug Suppression Officer and not long out of the Army then I always traveled armed with a very short folding but legal 12 gauge loaded with buck shot. Lucky for them I am a peaceable type that truly carried for defense only. After the two young men recovered from that deer in the headlights (we are about to die look) they turned and ran. I was not about to stop them. Once they turned their backs and ran they were no longer fair game under the law. I figured I won because I was alive and unharmed as well as not having to terminate to young lives. Not that I would not have, if either one had reached for anything! The moral of my story is not that I am some bad dude but that if anyone is ever tempted to steal as described here and the owner sees you he might just not be as socialable as I was but just might fill you britches with buck shot. Believe me that even if it is just bird shot and you make a clean get away you will be repenting as each of those little pellets is pulled individually from your backside. On the hand, would anything you find in someone's truck, boat, or house be worth losing your life over. Don't think that stealing armed will take care of that because all that will do is speed your slide down that slippery slope toward that free government needle. It is a losing proposition once you start down that path. The result is not in doubt only the timetable.

Im always telling my kids about things..You know lessons for life. Basically,If you wouldnt like it done to you...You dont do it to others. I wonder how those crooks would feel if I went to wherever they lived and stole some of thier belongings. Im sure they would be p*ssed as well. People just dont care or respect people these days,They never think about what if the shoe was on the other foot.
