JiggaMan512 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 This is like the 10th time ive been randomly browsing different things about bass fishing and, Voila!, a picture of Fish Chris pops up, of course, holding a 18lb. hippo-bass hybrid in his lap. LINK IS HERE Edited to fit window-LBH Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted October 13, 2006 Super User Posted October 13, 2006 Yea, he's on a t-shirt somewhere. Quote
Fish Chris Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Yea' ! A legend in my own mind ;-) LOL Seriously though, believe it or not, that fish was only 14.2. It just had this really deep, fairly long frame (about 28" I believe) which photographed really well. I think she could have been 2 to 3 lbs heavier, had she been thicker from side to side, but still a nice, healthy fish. BTW, she hit the old 9" Castaic trout, while coming straight at me. I just felt the slightest of taps, then my lure quit kicking. It took several fast cranks to catch up with her, but when I finally swung, she instantly came straight out of the water, with her mouth wide open, and again, because of that frame shape, I thought I had a 17 lb'er ! A very cool memory :-) Peace, fish Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted October 13, 2006 Super User Posted October 13, 2006 "that fish was only 14.2." Pleeeze... Quote
Keithscatch Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Only Fish Chris could get away with the phrase "Only 14.2" Holy carp. I would scream if I had a 14.2lb bass Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 I guess that's another great benefit to only fishing for Grandmama's, is that you can remember every one, in detail. Quote
Super User Raul Posted October 13, 2006 Super User Posted October 13, 2006 "Only" 14.2 .... that 's funny ! ;D Quote
JiggaMan512 Posted October 13, 2006 Author Posted October 13, 2006 REALLY!! i would be light headed from catching a nice 4.2lb with the way things have been lately. Guess thats why im not the second most viewed person on the internet (1st is Cindy Margolis i believe, Fish Chris trailing right behind) Quote
Fish Chris Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 .......I just meant "only a 14.2", as oposed the the 17 plus that it looked like when it first jumped. Believe me, a 14.2 is still a darn good one to me too ! BTW Brushpile, I wish I was trailing right behind Cindy Margolis :-) Speaking of which, I wonder if she likes to fish ? ;-) Peace, Fish Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 I don't know Chris,..there's a saying..."for every drop dead beautiful chick, there is a guy somewhere who is sick of her s*$@." don't know any big female largemouth that we'd say that about. Stick to hunting the real trophies, lol!! Quote
BucketmouthAngler13 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 the same goes for lightningrod. I see him every where i turn. Quote
Lightninrod Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 the same goes for lightningrod. I see him every where i turn. Yea, but I'm lucky to catch a "4.2 lb Bass", much less a "14.2 lb Bass" :-? Dan Quote
Syfer420 Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I hear that lightin, some fish dont photograph well, usually nothing is like getting video or atually being there. But thats a great fish, wonder what it looked like in person expecially jumpin out of the water fantastic Quote
fishingrulz Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 lol Hey Fish I know that T shirt! ;D Quote
Fish Chris Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I would have to recommend against wearing a shirt like that, with a big ugly guy on it, for fear of scaring small children :-) .....but then again, Halloween is coming up ! :-) LOL Fish Quote
