Low_Budget_Hooker Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I recieved a call last night from Jim Owens, the president and creator of CAST for Kids. Jim will be flying to RI in a few weeks to meet me and talk over some details concerning me coming on board with the CAST team. The country gets split into 2 regions right now. Jim does the west 1/2 and Art Pasley does the East 1/2. Well, due to the increasing interest in CAST and a bulging event schedule, Jim has asked me to come on board as the Eastern Region Coordinator. For now, I will be looking at the event schedule and taking some of the eastern events off of Arts plate. I don't plan on leaving UPS but when we bid for job positions in April, I will be looking to change. I will no longer be a driver, I will probably go back inside and work as a trainer for the new kids coming into the bulding to work the night shifts. This will free up more time during the day for me to concentrate on CAST. I will be working from 4a-11a most likely, If I get the bid I want (goes by seniority) So there will also be additional time for extra fishing. I will be taking a pay cut but money ain't everything. Quality of life and the desire to be a larger part of the CAST family, are the driving forces here. So, I just wanted to share the news with you guys, I'm very excited and honored to have been asked. Together, we'ren gonna make CAST a common, household name in the fishing industry. please visit www.castforkids.org Quote

I've known Jim for over a decade, and have been a part of his organization now for 6. Words cannot describe how rewarding it is to see the faces on those kids and parents just light up at an event. It's an experience you just have to experience. With you on board, many more will have that opportunity! Thanks! Quote
