fishingJ Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 What would everyone's dream fishing scenario be. Personally mine would be out in the middle of the woods fishing a small bass pond. Quote
bass ackwards Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 mine would be to be on a bass boat big enough to sleep on,cook on,shower on,and be on a big lake in the mountains for a week solid..............and catch the world record!!!!! Quote
BucketmouthAngler13 Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 mine would be to have a cabin by a nice sized lake that is loaded with monster bass. and i owned the whole lake so that no one else could fish it. i would stock it with 8" trout for a year, then 12" trout for a few years, intill i had the biggest darn bass you ever hope to see. (and would have lots of money so i wouldnt have to work at all, and have a tracker, and a Steez combo or two, and a great big dog, and a rifle with lots of deer, a reel with digital braking, and all the egg nog i could drink. ) Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 150 lb Tarpon you can see with your eyes, all around the boat. 10 wt fly rod, everglades. Mangroves. Sunset. Best friend. Camera. Quote
SneakySnook Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 40 in. snook on the grass flats by the mangroves. Nothing better than pulling a snook away from the mangroves. Quote
Triton9 Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 fishing a river in the middle of nowhere caching smallies. Quote
Rose_Jackets67 Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 I'd have to say the lake would be around 8 or 900 acres, very little development, close enough to fish there whenever I want, electric only (peace and quiet, no jet skiers), loaded with various types of cover and structure, and full of big bass. Wait a minute... I have that :-) adam Quote
jomatty Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 a pond/lake in the middle of completely uninhabited woods wood, with a small boat, a cabin, and my son would be tough to beat. preferably we would have no time frame on being home. some crappie, catfish, and/or trout would be nice to have for dinner as well. oh yeah and most importantly, no time frame that we have to be back. matt Quote
Super User senile1 Posted September 27, 2006 Super User Posted September 27, 2006 Having a 15 foot great white shark on lite spinning tackle. Really, I would like to be on a secluded pond/lake surrounded by forest and Ozark mountains (They call these hills in Colorado), and catching a five bass limit in the 30 - 40 lb range with maybe a double digit bass to boot. Quote
Guest avid Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 I have actually thought about this. My idea of heaven is a country estate with a huge bass lake out the front door where I dock my skeeter. Around back is a trout stream suitable for wading. Down the hill and around the bend is brackish inshore water where I keep my flats boat for snook and redfish. And so long as we are dreaming........ Quote
Troutfisher Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 A mansion with a large lake in the background full of bass and trout, as I am an avid fisher of both, and a stream running alongside with native trout. Oh yeah, and about 700 million bucks. Quote
liquidsoap Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 There is a house by our local river that is going for $2 million dollars. I would love to live there and fish for smallies in the summer and steelhead trout in the fall-spring. ;D Quote
Peter E. Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 If I was talking about my favorite fishing I would want a john boat and a swampy old creek full of cypress and blck gums. Trust me in places like that, the fish are always there. But if we were talking about dream fishing then well I have two words: Kayak and Tarpon Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted September 27, 2006 Super User Posted September 27, 2006 I'M LIVING MY DREAM. I HAVE A HOME ON LAKE ST. CLAIR, A GREAT BOAT, AND A WIFE THAT SUPPORTS MY ADDICTION TO FISHING. THE ONLY THING I WOULD CHANGE IS I WISH IT WAS WARM WEATHER ALL YEAR LONG. Quote
JiggaMan512 Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Hmmm.... I wake up, and low and behold im in middle of nowhere Mexico. I walk out to a prepared authentic mexican breakfast, and a 24 year old spanish rose of a women comes and whisks me away to a mysterious lake. All day i catch double diggie bass, topping it off with a world record 25 pound lunk. Then we turn off the trolling motor and make sweet south american love in the middle of the lake. this might be the wrong forum for this. my mistake. Quote
fishbear Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 For me, it would be a log house in Alaska, next to a river full of salmon. Fishing for those big hawgs, watching Grizzly Bears, hunting moose and caribou...... Now that would be living.. Quote
CrazedL.IFisherman Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 My dream would be to own a house in maine like my parents used too and sold, which still to this day wish they hadnt :'(, well anyway it would be an older log cabin but beautiful and a huge porch that overlooks the lake and can watch storms from, it would be in a perfect location on the lake kind of in the middle so each sides were not too far to get too, but the house would have its space from others, the lake would be quite large but with many coves so a canoe would be useable, for some wierd, great reason only 10 houses on this large lake, it would have lots of structure and cover, many lily pads, pickerel grass, and reeds, as well as patches of slop, only electric motors allowed, no ways to fish the lake publicly even though thats a bit greedy, and id spend my life on that baby, treasuring it and its nature forever Quote
Super User RoLo Posted September 27, 2006 Super User Posted September 27, 2006 I'M LIVING MY DREAM. I HAVE A HOME ON LAKE ST. CLAIR, A GREAT BOAT, AND A WIFE THAT SUPPORTS MY ADDICTION TO FISHING. THE ONLY THING I WOULD CHANGE IS I WISH IT WAS WARM WEATHER ALL YEAR LONG. I would reiterate what Maltese Falcon wrote with a couple minor adjustments: I am living my dream; I have a home on Lake Walk-In-Water in central Florida, I'm surrounded by saltwater fishing, have 3 boats for different applications and a wife who shares my addiction. If I could change one thing, I'd wish the winters were just a little colder Roger Quote
FIN-S-R Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Any Tourney...the only thing that would make it mroe "dream" like would be a better boat (preferably an '06 TR21X w/ 250 Pro XS) and a bank account that wouldnt limit my participation...oh yeah and winning would be nice, but thats really not the point. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted September 28, 2006 Super User Posted September 28, 2006 One of the bigger lakes around SW Missouri, NE Arkansas, or Texas. No phone no computer nothing to do but fish for as long as I want. Quote
WhiteMike1018 Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Mine would be in a far remote place with about 10 acres of lake, loaded to the gills with aggresive bass! 8-) Quote
