ikebass15 Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 I was looking at my latest bassmaster mag and on the side it said it was the september/october issue. i thought we were supposed to get 11 issues and july/agust was the double. is this a typo or are we getting cheated out again?????? Quote
tipptruck1 Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Did you include the bass pro guide one. Quote
spotaholic Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Talk about a sorry magazine. What happened to all the good information. It seems to me that it more about the adds and selling stuff than about information about bass fishing. I really can't tell the last articel that just blew me away. Honestly the info on this websiote is more informative and up to date than Bassmasters. I did find a good read at the classic. I picke up a copy of the *** Magazine and if they ever get that going it will awesome. Any sorry about my frustration but I am sure other seasoned fisherman feel the same way. IMO Quote
Super User Marty Posted August 30, 2006 Super User Posted August 30, 2006 I doubt that it's a typo, but something has changed. In 2005, there were separate issues for September and October. Quote
Bass Smacker Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I let my subscription exspier. I realy didn't get much out of it. I do miss humer section. the only good thing about it is there fight agenst the plage that thretens our sport calld peta. Quote
CrazedL.IFisherman Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 same here bass smacker and spotaholic, i just got my renewal letter, let it sit on my desk for 2 days and decided its not worth it to re-up with them, the magazine in my opinion has gone down hill, every other page is an advertisement, this site fills me with all the great information i need from you intelligent guys, and if i ever have too i have like 5-6 years of bassmaster mags sitting away in my closet, im with you guys no more bassmaster for me Quote
dwhite Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I gave up BASSMASTER 2 years ago everything in it is down south tips and tricks and ads almost none of that crap applies up north:) Then they send you a book and a stupid coin that you did not ask for and expect you to pay for it what a joke. These forums are a way better resource for way less money Quote

These forums are a way better resource for way less money I'm on my last year of BM after subscribing for 32 years. The magazine is pretty much of a waste anymore. Most of the issues from the past few years lay around the house and I haven't ever read any of them. I'm not really even sure what's in it these days that would make me want to read it. I did notice, as I was browsing through the latest issue that the tournament coverage seems to be taking up more and more of the magazine, along with the ads. Not surprising now that ESPN owns it. basspro48 Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I really like Bassmaster, the tournament articles and how-to articles are very informative and Day on the Lake is awesome. Yeah there are a lot of ads in it but it still provides a lot of useful information. Quote
