Guest ouachitabassangler Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 You are not a traitor to other anglers admitting the possibility fish suffer pain from fish hooks. Being honest about the issue will do more for the sport than taking up a position subject to strong criticism. If you cite evidence bass don't suffer, you are better to also cite evidence they do suffer, showing a balanced approach with objectivity. I don't mind other anglers being upset over this. It's those folks desiring to end fishing that I beware of. Jim
janalon Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Gosh you would think the whole topic was written by fish themselves. Yes they feel something. So we jab a hook in our lips and pull the line taught and yell, ouch! They feel pain, I know they do, cuz I just felt it. And when I touch it it wiggles. The topic itself is completly relative. I'm gonna start a topic "Do bass feel rejected when we throw them back?"
Super User 5bass Posted August 15, 2006 Super User Posted August 15, 2006 Discussion is good, but topics like these bring out the worst in people. Is this forum usually like this? No.There are a few threads that get out of hand after they have been up a while (like this one) and people just keep on opening different doors to fuel it along. Until a bass can speak and give us a definitive answer to the title question, nobody knows 100%,one way or the other........its all speculation.
