I'm retired so I have zero commitments. I fish golf course ponds every evening and go out on my partners boat once a week. I know I have it comparatively good to most of you guys that have to try and make time to go. Sorry :'(

Wow! retired at 39. is your last name Gates?

Every single day I fish. I fish the four 20+ year old man made ponds located directly in my apartment complex that have awesome (6lb) Michigan Largemouth Bass. Then when ever I get a chance I want to go to Lake Erie, Lake St.Clair, and the Detroit River, sadly I havent been there yet this summer but those three bodies of water all connect and were talking about some of the very BEST small/largemouth fishing in the country maybe even the world. Just go look at those bodies of water on a map. They're loaded with Bass! Although Lake St.Clair USE to have a 5lb avg smallmouth it now has 4lb but hey who wouldnt kill for a 4lb smallie AVG year round? The river and expeically Erie has some Bass that will blow your mind in size! Oh I wanna go so bad now..

Fish from shore at the river for smallies 2-4 times a week, take the boat out fishin for fun couple times a month, so far this year 7 tournaments, prefished 4 of those. Two more tournaments to go this month and then the fall classic next month, after that back to fishing for fun. Last year we had fairly warm weather through the middle of Dec. and I managed to go down to the river for an hour or 2 every afternoon and the S/M fishing was fantastic, 20 - 30 fish every afternoon untill the real cold weather hit, sure hope that repeats this year.
