This time of year for me I have better luck with a deep diving crank.  I focus on the reaction strike over the maybe strike on a little 4" sissy worm ;).  Your depth finder will show the depth of the fish and just pick the crank accordingly.

One of the hardest suspenders to catch is fish on Tablerock or other very clear lakes that suspend say 40ft (thermocline)down in 70 ft of water.  IMO the only way to get these guys is by swim jigs, ds. or spoons.

I have been catching them on swimbaits this week.

How do you fish your swimbaits WhopperStopper? Speed, size, depth, location, etc.
