As many of you know, I have a CAST for Kids event coming up this September in Providence.

I am writing to ask if there is anyone in the New England area that has had the inclination to possibly throw one of these next year?

If so,...I would like to invite you down for my event to see what it's all about. Anyone else who wishes to participate is entirely welcome and if you know of any kids that qualify (sick, injured or physically impaired) that can get out for the day, PLEASE PM me asap!!

The event is Sat., Sept. 23 from 10am-2pm

Do they have a CAST for kids in Texas?  If so where and how do you participate and if not how can we get CAST for Kids down here?

Great question, Tex.  Yes, they have several events in Texas and across the country - even Mexico!  You can find the full schedule and everything about C.A.S.T. by visiting their website at www.castforkids.org

Thanks!

tex- CAST is huge in Texas. It's our biggest state I believe.

You have Art Pasley right there in Dallas who is a co-director if you will. He handles your 1/2 of the country, Jim Owens handles the other 1/2.

Art is a GREAT resource. He has basically held my hand while trying to break ground in New England.

Another event in Texas would be an easy one for someone to start as many of your state and local businesses have heard of us before. It's all Greek in New England. (not for long)

If the thouhght of taking on a whole new event,  I know you have family to tend to, is overwhlming, perhaps you could volunteer for an event close to you and get a feel for it first.  Just a suggestion.

GO FOR IT MAN!!

If I can help you in any way, PM me for sure.

Russ, we'll talk. Maybe I can help next year. You can tell me what's involved over breakfast when we're back in from the water.
