NOVA Angler Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Lunker Lure Triple Rattleback Vibration Spinnerbait http://www.lunkerlure.com/store/product_reviews_info.php?products_id=38&reviews_id=35 Back when I fished golf course ponds in high school and college, I did really well with this spinnerbait in early spring. Bought a couple a few years back but I haven't been able to replicate the success. Just curious if anyone else has used this bait and what your thoughts are. Quote
Pitchinkid Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Never used one, looks like it would defitnatley throw out the vibration though. Quote
Triton21 Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 I have caught a 'boatload' of bass on this spinnerbait. Vibrates enough that it will rattle the eyes out of your rod. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted January 31, 2009 Super User Posted January 31, 2009 Lunkerlure buzzbait is my favorite. If you check enough at the store you can find a few that will really squeak and I believe that makes a huge difference. Never fished the spinnerbait though. Guess I need to try them out. Quote
JShrock07 Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 About 3 years ago when I was really getting big into bass fishing a buddy of mine was cleaning out his tackle and he gave me about 10 of these. I took them but until last spring I never tried them. Just because I was bored of not catching anything I tied one on and tossed it out. I was slow rolling if above the grass and banging it into the weeds and peices of structure and I had about 10 bass over 15" slam it in less then 45 mins. This is now my go-to spinnerbait for slow rolling in the early spring. Gold Blade and a small silver blade with a white/blue skirt dyed with a little bit of chartruese on 2-5 strands of the white skirt. Just trust me on this if you fish areas like the Potomac. Quote
NOVA Angler Posted February 2, 2009 Author Posted February 2, 2009 Just trust me on this if you fish areas like the Potomac. I trust you as I've seen what can happen first hand. This bait really produced well for me in the spring years ago. I guess it's time to stock up on a few more. I'm glad to here you've had success on the Potomac since that's mainly where I fish. Quote
Super User CWB Posted February 2, 2009 Super User Posted February 2, 2009 I don't know why I don't use it more as it always seems to produce. Caught a 42" Musky off my pier on one a few years ago. Another similar bait I have success with is BPS Tornado. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_15387____SearchResults This always seems to work, especially burned just under the surface.
