GAMEOVER Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Im having a lot of trouble catching Largemouths in this pond outside my apartment with all this July heat here. Can anyone give me some tips on fishing for Largemouths in extremely hot weather? Best times? Baits? etc.. Thanks. Quote
senko_77 Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 the best times in hot weather is morning before the sun gets up, and evening when the sun goes down. The bass will move up shallow and feed all night. IN the daytime you need to fish deeper, because thats where the majority of the fish will be. You can find fish in the shallows if there is structure that provides them with shade. Quote
Bassassasin12 Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 At the pond by my house I was having trouble catching them when it got a lot hotter out but I located bottom structure and noticed that the fish still stayed shallow during the day as well as long as there was a tree overhead providing shade. Always look for shade or structure and you will find the fish that you were once catching by the dozen. Quote
