Siebert Outdoors Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 I been reading alot of posts around on night fishing and lures. One lure I really dont see show up is a crankbait. My question is why? It works great for me, but maybe not you guy's. Or am I letting out one of my secrets with this post. Most of the time I see the usual worm, buzzbait, or jig responses. Some spinnerbait but not many. The crank has a ton of vibration to it compaired to a worm or jig. Quote
Super User Raul Posted June 23, 2006 Super User Posted June 23, 2006 My favorite lures for night fishing: 1.- Jitterbug........I like the Jitterbug 2.- Spinnerbait. 3.- Lipless crankbait. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 I post alot about night fishing and my reason is that I'm just not a cranker. I don't do it during the day so I don't at night either. I'm sure it would work the same as it does during the day. To me, night fishing is day fishing with a light. Nothing I do differently. I'd be curious to know how you do at night crankin'. Sounds like a good challenge for you. One you are into anyway. (slick name change G (yup,...I'm just gonna call you by your next name in line because it was the name of a good friend of mine that was killed and I miss sayin' it. OK G?) Quote
basspro48 Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 Get you a big black jitterbug, by far IMO the best nightbait ever made...Other than that, however, I also like tossing black spinnerbaits with huge colorado blades and big black jigs. Quote
papa smurf Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 For me, it's one of those things that seems like it should work, but I never got around to trying it very much. I think I'll give it a shot next time I'm out at night. Thanks for the tip! Quote
