Super User senile1 Posted June 22, 2006 Super User Posted June 22, 2006 When I have the time, I'll begin at daybreak and stay out all day if the fish are biting. When the fish aren't biting I'll usually cut off by mid to late afternoon. Usually, though, my time on the water is dictated to me by other responsibilities such as time with my daughters, working around the house, and my job configuring, supporting, and installing enterprise data and VoIP networks. Where do you guys find all this time? Even when the time isn't there, I'll fit in a 2 or 3 hour fishing trip. Quote
Captain Cali Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Anywhere from 1 hour to 10 hours. It all depends on how much time I have. My last 3 outings went like this, Last night: 6 hours (8pm-2am) Night before: 3 hours (9:30pm-12:30am) Sunday morning: 8 hours (2am-10am) Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted June 22, 2006 Super User Posted June 22, 2006 If I during the week it is 2-3 hours. On weekends it is usually 5:30 AM - 6:00 AM to around 12:30 PM or 1:00 PM. Quote
Valascus Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 I will stay on the water for a looooooooooooooooong time. I've started at 6:00am and fished until nightfall. Heh...that's generally why I end up fishing alone. Most of my friends get bored after a few hours...and that's even if they are catching something. If we are getting skunked they give up in about an hour...sissies. : But seriously, I will stay out on the water as long as I possibly can. Quote
jkrzwyld Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Usually durring the week maybe an hour or two off the dock. On average three nights a week. On weekends I like to be on the water 6:60-7:00 and stay out till one or two. Quote
MadGator Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Depends on when I go, if I go in the evening, by the time I get home from work and get the boat in the water, I might be out for 2-3 hours. If I go in the morning, I'll usually stay out at least 4 hours. I am younger (28) with a wife and daughter (1.5) and we just have too much stuff going on for me to spend all day on the water. However, I just went to KY lake with a buddy on a fishing trip. On the water by 8:00am in at 2:00am back on at 4:00pm in at 10:00pm for a week. Can't wait until I retire lol. I was pretty sore after that week though, lol. If I have free 20-30 minutes (like at lunch), I'll throw something around for a bit. Any time is a good time for fishing. Quote
MHH Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 During the week, I stay 2 to 30 hours until dark after work. Weekends can be an all day afair when I get the opportunity to go. Quote
