MEMBER CHALLENGE-Fine tuned & ready 2go(revised)

Ok, After running the challenge for a week or so, I've gotten lots of great feedback from the members on specific tweaks and adjustments needed.

I think I've come up with a solution.

The challenge's big problem is the speed of it. By going 1 challenge at a time, it's way too slow so this is how we are going to try it.

-There will be 1 challenge per month.

-The first 2 weeks of the month are for entering the challenge for the month. Go to the sign up list and register.

- You will be challenging the person on the list before you and you will be challenged by the person on the list after you. Last person ( one of the mods) will be challenged by the first person.

-List will be locked for the month after 2 weeks of sign up.

-The next 2 weeks are for completing the challenge and posting the results.

-At the end of the month, I will wipe out the old challenge list and You can sign up on the new one for that month.

The sign up list will remain stickied in "General" and the results will remain stickied in "Outtings"

The 1st one will begin July 1st.

Please include key elements or limitations in your post on the sign up list. (bank fisherman,etc)

The current list will remain. If you were on it before and have already done your challenge, please sign up again.

We have a little time before the first challenge starts so if there are any suggestions, opinions or feedback,...now is the time.

Sounds really good LBH.  

 If I am thinking correctly the week between #2 & #3 weekend would be were we all challenge each other.  That way it leaves 2 full weekends of fishing since a majority of us are only capable of fishing on the weekends.  Hate to be negative but also if someone says they are in and never comes back and  challenges another member.

I think the new system will probably work fine.  As it is, the other system has showed some minor flaws that should be corrected with these new changes.  Reason saying: as it stands LBH chalenged Gloomis who challenged Alhuff who challenged Basser89 who went right back to challenging LBH.  The cycle has gone full circle while the majority of the folks who signed up have heard nothing yet.  Also, LBH, your right on how the signup posts should be formatted, right now, I will go back and modify my post to provide a better understanding of what I have to work with......other members should do the same.

Let me see if I understand this...the sign up list we currently have is the one that will be for July's challenges? Ok, I have already recieved a challenge and have responded to it. I have NOT fished it yet. Should I go ahead and fish it? I haven't challenged anyone yet, so do I wait for the first week of July? Sorry...I'm just a tad slow today.

Just to be clear.So is the sign up list that is posted the list for July and we don't challenge until July 1-14?

You can challenge soon as there is someone in front of you on the list but sign up will end the 14th.

Guys, please remember not to post any comments about the challenge under the sign up list. The only info we want there is your fishing info.

It was kind of messy so I cleaned it up and made sure everyone is only listed once . You may want to check it again and see who you are challenging.

All previously issued challenges are NULL. Go check the list and we will start anew from here.

I've never done this before. Exactly what are we challenging the other angler proceeding us on the list to do?

you challenge them to a style of fishing that they may not be familiar with.

The general concept is to increase versatility by setting aside a set amount of time to dedicate to a bait or method that you have been challenged to. Maybe somthing you never would have challenged yourself to do.

Then you go to the results list and report back how you did.

We ask that you only enter the challenge of you can post pics of the results. Anyone wishing to enter and has issues with posting pics, shoot me a PM and we can walk you through things. Also a reminder that there are pic posting tutorials in the FAQ's

We expect alot of skunking for a number of reasons. So get creative with how you post your skunk results.

This is sounding great LBH, I cant wait until the next go around.  Who would have thought I would have thrown a fluke again.   I cant wait until the next challenge to see what lure I get to knock the dust off of. :-?
