ARfishermen08 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I have been seeing the HUGE 12" buzz bait by booyah , mostly advertised by Bill Dance. Has anyone tried this? I don't see how someone could case it into tight places and keeps it running strait.. Quote
Guest avid Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Yeah, but "endorsed by Bill Dance" should tell you something Quote
hookem12_0 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 actually it works well in certain cituations. i was fishing a reg booyah buzz and the bass kept short striking me. so i thought, hell, ill try one of these 12 inchers, and low and behold it worked. those bass didnt know what to think. they were nailing that bait hard and i caught several fish in a short amount of time. the biggest was almost 6 but i caught alot of fish. i still dont normally start out with this bait but if the bass are short striking i suggest tying one on. Super User cart7t Posted February 5, 2007 Super User Posted February 5, 2007 How are those things to throw. Being as long as they are I've got to imagine they catch a lot of air and might tend to be backlash prone? Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Like casting a hangar. I only used one on spin gear, even then, surely not a distance bait. Quote
Valascus Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 That thing just looks rediculous. How does it hold up in a fight with a bass? I would imagine with that looooooooooong wire it would get bent to crap pretty quickly and then would pretty much be junk since it wouldn't realy run straight anymore. Is this the case? Or does it hold up pretty well? Quote
bass109 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 HUGE 12" buzz bait by booyah, i have seen also, it might work. :-? Well most of other bill dancer lures didnt really catch fish that well for me. Quote

ARfishermen08 Posted February 6, 2007 Author Posted February 6, 2007 ha yeah my grandfather makes jokes about bill dance using scuba divers on his show because most of his lures like the dancin' eel were kinda dumb Quote
CrazedL.IFisherman Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Hey hey hey to defend bill dance a little bit, i doubt he made the spittin image lure but he did have something to do with it cause his name is on the side of the bait, i for one love that lure and its so easy to walk the dog with it and its not even funny Quote

Hmmm, I have two of the 12" version but I never tried them. After seeing this post, maybe, just maybe, I will give them a shot... Quote
