Super User senile1 Posted June 9, 2006 Super User Posted June 9, 2006 alhuff, I thought I'd give you another thread where many expressed their opinions about the legitimacy of this picture. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1148412840 Quote
alhuff Posted June 9, 2006 Author Posted June 9, 2006 20+ or not, its still a monster bass. till its proven wrong i'll stick with it being the World Record. Alfred Quote
Super User senile1 Posted June 9, 2006 Super User Posted June 9, 2006 I agree with you, Alfred. It's the record and no one's opinion is going to change that. I, personally, don't have a problem with it. It will eventually fall, and maybe then, people can stop debating the issue. Quote
mudcatwilly Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 That bass looks like it could eat that kid! Quote
mudcatwilly Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 I don't know if anyone saw that show on ESPN a couple of months back, but a guy in California caught a 25 pounder. I saw the photo of the fish and a photo of the scale. I think it was 25.1 or something. Anyway, it was not recognized as the record because he foul hooked it. It is not legal to keep a foul hooked fish in California, and according to the IGFA, a fish must be caught legally to be considered for a record. The guy released the fish unharmed. Check out the photo. Quote
Toddn76 Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Seeing that pic makes me want to jump in my truck and drive to Cali! Foul hooked or not that is a hugh fish! Quote

I think we found out about this fish just a few hours after it happened. Quote
