njvbass Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 I was going through one of many tacklebags tonight and noticed a majority of my newest tackle is either Yum or zoom. This must be my favorite. What is everyones fav. lure co.or tackle. For rods I seem to a big fan of st. Croix, and reels I'm leaning more and more against Shimano. Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted December 15, 2004 Super User Posted December 15, 2004 I like those Daiichi X-Points, too. Wish they would expand their offerings, it seems odd that the line is so limited. Quote
Pond-Pro Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 I try not to create a favorite company. If you do this you might miss out on other oportunities with other brand's baits. Quote
ernel Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 I can't honestly sat that I have one lure company that I like over the others. I have lures from just about every lure mfg in my tackle box. Lures from different mfgs do preform differently, so I can't limit myself to lust one company. Quote

njvbass Posted December 16, 2004 Author Posted December 16, 2004 G-loomis looks like a popular rod.How would you g-loomis guys compare that to a st.croix. Basically what I'm asking is their that much of different feel.Besides the price Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted December 16, 2004 Super User Posted December 16, 2004 njvbass: G.Loomis and St. Croix both make very good rods. I think the overall quality of construction, sensitivity and strength are comparable. Quote
AUTgrPilot Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 I like the G. Loomis for the combination of feel and the lightness. A Loomis hardly weighs anything. I've only ever fished a St Croix once. Quote

Spinnerbaits- Terminator Things that suck- Berkleys Vanish line, losing a 10$ terminater spinnerbait becous of your knot, zebco 33's. rapala sucks too. ( in my opinion ) Quote
