Seeing bass but not catching them

Ok heres the deal. Ive seen more fish in the water near the shore then Ive cought. The last week Ive been fishing four days. Ive cought three but have seen seven BIG bass near the shore. Ive thrown Everthing in my box at em. Ive even hit one with a Trigged worm and he just stayed where he was. Any suggestions?

I would use a T-rig baby brush hog made by Zoom.  Here is why.

The baby brush hog has a twin tail, two wings and two "arms" near the head.  All of this gives the bait something that staging bass can't resist.  Just cast past the fish and slowly bring it into there face.  Let it sit in front of them and just barely shake the brush hog.  Don't over shake it, just twitch it lightly.

I've had the same problem the last couple weeks.  I would recomend using the YUM crawbug.  Work it really slow, and you dont necesarily have to bring it right past there face.  I've found that they actually go after it more often when you work it a couple yards away from them.

I think we may be having this problem all over. I live in WV and fish strip pits in Ohio. I am not 100% sure but I believe they are just sitting on their nest. I would personally use a rubber lizard. That is what I have been using to bag the stubborn ones. I have tried the new Mann hard nose, and they rock! Good luck with the bass try to use something that may threaten them into hitting. I just caught a smallie on a bed in gin clear water using a crawbug.  I threw about 20 casts at it with several different baits.  These were VERY slow presentations and unless I got it right on the bed, the fish wasn't interested at all.  The lizard, senko, worm, fluke & tube didn't interest it at all.  The crawbug got nailed as soon as it landed on the bed.  Where are you fishing?  Are the fish spawning?  This could be why they aren't very active.  Drive them crazy & be patient...you'll get it.

Try this it works in Washington, any of the above baits will work, find the fish remember where it is sitting and back off from it a good 20-30 feet so you cant see it anymore, if you can see the fish odds are it can see you and that makes it harder to coax them into biteing, make longer casts and it will pay off. good luck

EXACTLY........the #1 reason for unproductive sight fishing is beeing too close to the bass, and the bass seeing you. When I sight fish I never cast to the bass when it can see me, I just remember where it was and come back 5-10min later, make a long cast to the spot, and stay out of sight, works most of the time.
