I've been reading here for about a year now, fished all my life and thank you all for making such a great and informative forum. Now...

I've got a dilema... I've been fishing the same lake (between 2 damns on the Chattahoochee) since August.. I'd like to say I know the lake fairly well and can put myself on plenty of fish but they're all around 10-12 inches and its starting to get aggravating.

I know there is no "magic formula" but no matter what I toss (platics, jig, crankbait, spinnerbait, etc) or where, shallow / deep / stumps / etc, I always end up with small fish. If I go to larger or louder baits I always come up with Gar. I was hoping some of you could give me some tips on what to change.

Deep offshore structure and/or cover.I would try a jig or big worm.

I've never been way down yonder on the Chattahoochee. Are there some bigger fish where you are fishing? Sometimes the bass in an area can become stunted due to lack of forage or simply because the population has grown too large for the resource. Maybe this isn't the scenario where you're at. I do like CJ's idea. I'd definately try to find some structure out in the deeper water and see what happens there.

Has the river been known to give off big fish? Ask some other locals if your not sure and some tips from them too. I am going down to the Chatahoochee river for a weekend trip since I have family near it later this summer so please tell us all how it works out.
