basser89 Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Now to be honest, I haven't looked real deep at all on the site, but can anyone point me in the right direction to a place that shows you what the different types of aquatic vegatation looks like and its characteristics? I fish a couple of lakes here in MD that have hydrilla so I can identify it with no problem. But when it comes to other lakes with other vegatation, I'd like to be able to identify them quicker and know how I should fish it easier. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Quote

Super User Marty Posted April 28, 2006 Super User Posted April 28, 2006 I'm not good at ID'ing weeds, but I'm trying to learn. I've been using that first site that Rolo recommended and have found it helpful. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Wow, I went to that link and took a look at some of the visual ID's and I bet many see some of these weeds and assume it's hydrilla because many look very similar. I am going to actually grab a bunch of pics tomorrow of weed samples from my lake so I can come home and compare to the actual pics. I never realized how many different weeds look like hydrilla.
