Low_Budget_Hooker Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 How much water in that glass? 1/2 empty? 1/2 full? Lots of positives here. You'll feel better about yourself and you can conquer this and set a new goal. Life is what you make it. Quote

uiubassmaster Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Sorry to hear that jmaness12, but it's all part of growing up, I'm only 19 but I've had a full-time summer job at a local mill since I was 15. Yes I had to sacrafice fishing time, but it's worth it everytime you get that friday paycheck. And while I will admit, I've propbably spent a little too much of that hard earned money on fishing tackle (something I don't regret doing). Holding a job gives you good experience for the future. Nick B Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 I hate to one up ya, but Im in Iraq, where there is no bass fishing. I do get to leave here soon, but not soon enough. Quote
grove83 Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Oh yeah, the first job is always fun. I built houses for my first job, always liked the money. Had to quit after each summer, that's when I realized how much the mighty dollar meant. Make sure to have fun with whatever job you take....it is what you make of it. Good Luck! Hey nb1226, are you over there for the war? If so thanks for all that you do! Hope you make it home safe! We will be sure to get some extra fishing done just for you. ;D Quote
Guest avid Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Yes, It is definitly a problem when life interferes with fishing. ;D Quote
bassmasta7 Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Im 16 and have been working as an umpire for about a month. I am loving it. With my first paycheck, I bought the del-mart worm making kit and a bunch of other fishing stuff. Its not so bad. Each week I schedule my hours based on weather reports for the week and moon phases and all that good stuff for fishing. Its not that bad and especially for the money. Quote

Bu I feel like when I get a really nice new rod &/or reel, people think I am spoiled even if I tell them I paid for it myself. Quote
