llPa1nll Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 I myself have passed the point of becoming completely frustrated with digital scales. I have not come acrossed one that has performed upto my standards as of yet. It seems that these companies put these out only to last 1 season. I have had a scale from Stren, Berkley, Rapala all of them lasted 1 year or less. I looked up on the Salter Digital Scale on Cabelas site, not a raving review. Accurate, but Delicate, December 1, 2006By MissionFishin from Miami and the Keys, in Florida "I bought this scale several years ago. It's extreamly accurate and easy to read. However, it is not compatible with a salt water environment. I had it replaced once under warranty and now have to replace it again, because it simply won't turn on. (same problem as before) I kept the scale in a dry area of my boat in its pouch, but apparently it is not suited for a moist air environment. Other than the fact that it doesn't hold up, I loved it. Too much money for a one-year scale." I'll look into the Xtools scale, at first glance $70 seems a tad pricey for a Digi Scale if it lasts its worth it I guess. I just wish these things were more dependable than they have been for me lately. Quote
