Hey Y'all

I thought it would be neat to see how everbody is doing with their goals for '06.

I picked jigs as my goal for this year.

I started out by buying a new jig rod in january to get psych'd for the year.

I started out slow. Not getting a lot of action.

Soon I started getting more strikes.

Finally I'm getting fish pretty regular. The cool thing is the more I catch, I realize how much more I can learn.

How is everybody doing so far?

My initial goal was to be fit and in shape, I missed the goal for the first tournament, but I am getting there for the rest of the year. After about a week I can run 2.5 miles or so without a break, been running/walking for 30 minutes a day for the last week.

My goal was to fish new water...seeing only the WI river is open to fishing right now,  I don't have a lot of choice.  I'll have to wait till May for the lakes to open here.

First goal I set was to beat my PB! I did that back on the 4/9! I also want to get more confident in using jigs. I've managed to land two on a jig so far and have missed a few on them as well, so they're coming along. My fishing partner would like to see one of us break the 7# mark this year (this one we're still working on)!

One of mine was to get confident with soft plastic baits. Mission accomplished!

Second was to commit to throwing big swimbaits. I've been slacking on that part so far mainly because I'm having so much fun with different soft plastic baits.

Im planning to work on getting more confident using crank baits.  In the past I have only used Rattle Traps.  I want to be able to use all kinds of crankbaits by the end of the season.

I also want to fish more deep structure more this year.  I figure this will also help me learn crankbaits.

My goal is to become a more versitle basser.I mentioned pitching, flipping, the c-rig,and finese presentations among others.I've become proficient fipping/pitching (jigs, tubes, creature baits, etc.),I'm good using the c-rig,and use the split-shot rig to catch a fair amount of bass.I must develope confidence with the drop-shot rig.
