What's that gash back by the tail fin he's trying to hide with his thumb?   :D ;D

In the late 80's I had a job offer in San Diego. I was even flown out there to check it out. I was always glad I didn't take it and stayed back East, but everytime I see these huge bass when the water is still in 40's here??? Well, it makes me wonder, what if. :'(

Um, that would be where it was snagged. It's a WEST technique.

(sorry Roger,lol)

Mattlures- any hint as to what the 21.5 was caught on? Baby bluegill perhaps?

Awesome fish!!  I get really jealous when I see fish that big because I know I will probably never get the chance at one.  I live in Minnesota where the fish rarely get over 6Lb.  Consider yourselves lucky to be living where you live.

I'm not questioning the weight of this nice fish or anything like that, but why in the world do fisherman who catch a fish this size still feel the need to hold it strait out  from their body so far?

if you caught a fish like that, i think you would be everything in your power to make that fish look as big as you could, because usually cameras dont justify the fishes size
