Minuteman Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 In the late 80's I had a job offer in San Diego. I was even flown out there to check it out. I was always glad I didn't take it and stayed back East, but everytime I see these huge bass when the water is still in 40's here??? Well, it makes me wonder, what if. :'( Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted April 8, 2006 Super User Posted April 8, 2006 Roger I guess the "black dot" is on the side closest to the angler?!! ;D ;D Couldn't resist. Fantastic fish Quote

Low_Budget_Hooker Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 What's that gash back by the tail fin he's trying to hide with his thumb? Um, that would be where it was snagged. It's a WEST technique. (sorry Roger, lol) Mattlures- any hint as to what the 21.5 was caught on? Baby bluegill perhaps? Quote
Triton_Mike Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Matt, I saw your post on the calfishing site as well . Beautiful fish I must say!! Mike Quote
Lunkers0 Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Awesome fish!! I get really jealous when I see fish that big because I know I will probably never get the chance at one. I live in Minnesota where the fish rarely get over 6Lb. Consider yourselves lucky to be living where you live. Quote
Fisher of Men Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 What's that gash back by the tail fin he's trying to hide with his thumb? ;D Here we go again!! C-alifornia and C-controversy both start with"C". Quote
Captain Cali Posted April 10, 2006 Author Posted April 10, 2006 ::)Oh boy...do I have to bust out my cape! ;D Quote
fishingfrenzy Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 To bad they don't grow that big in my state, our state record is only 10 lbs 14 oz, by the way I live in Jersey. Quote
Biglouie Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 I'm not questioning the weight of this nice fish or anything like that, but why in the world do fisherman who catch a fish this size still feel the need to hold it strait out from their body so far? Quote
senko_77 Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 if you caught a fish like that, i think you would be everything in your power to make that fish look as big as you could, because usually cameras dont justify the fishes size Quote
Bassbum80 Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 I wish they all could be California girls...bass Quote
