Low_Budget_Hooker Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 On march 23rd, Lee Ellis, of the same member name, caught a bass weighing 18.35 lbs, surpassing the previous jr. world record of 17.22 by more than a pound! The bass was taken from Lake (miami) Garcia. The fish was caught on a live shiner and has been submitted for certification according to Rebecca Reynolds of the IGFA. Lee is a 15 yr old Georgia native who became a BR member back in February. We're honored to have you on the board, and good luck with your IGFA approval. WAY TO GO LEE!! Quote

Super User 5bass Posted April 5, 2006 Super User Posted April 5, 2006 Congrats young man!I hope you will soon be the new Jr. WR holder.Lets have the story,I want to hear how it wrapped you in some grass, jumped 3 times, made 6 runs under the boat and the net wasnt big enough,etc......come on,lets hear it. ;D Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted April 5, 2006 Author Posted April 5, 2006 Lee told me he had recently caught a monster nearby on a senko I believe and then tried for this one but it wouldn't take it so in went mr. shiner to git 'er done. He said it wasn't much of an aggressive fight as much as one of weight. Senko77-Send me that pic again if you can and I'll post it. I didn't save it last time. Lee's parents are leary of the internet as all parents should be. This is the reason he isn't on too much and also the reason I am going to black out his face in the pics. Senko will tell you, this is a very internet weary family (applause) and it took all of a month for them to let us tell everyone here about this accomplishment. I'll will personally back up his story. I have spoken with the IGFA directly concerning this submission. Quote
