BassBandit35 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 What a joke : Another gimmicks. http://another site/news_article.asp?id=3174 Dang it! I see it won't link to other site :-/ I know I know, don't explain. Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted January 23, 2009 Super User Posted January 23, 2009 Like you said. It's a gimmick and we have blocked the website from being posted because of it. Quote
BassBandit35 Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 Really, the link I posted wasn't direct to that product website. It an article on another site site talking about it for upcoming Classic and Boyd and Ike has them as sponsor. Unbelievable. Quote
Bass Dude Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I almost started this link myself!!! They must have paid Ike and Boyd a buttload of cash--these lures have gimmick written all over them. It almost hurts that Ike and Boyd are sponsored by them, I just can't help but think it's all for the Benjamins. :'( Quote
Randall Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 I was given a crankbait when a guy from Laser Lure did a short presentation at a seminar I did with Triton Mike. Very nice guy and very good at his presentation. He wasn't exactly what I expected to be selling a lure with a light on it. ;D He sold a ton of the baits from the store we were at to some pretty good fishermen. I am very skeptical of the bait and told him I was. He said to give it an honest chance and just fish with it but didn't try to sell me on the idea at all. Just gave me a bait to try. As soon as I find a good crankbait bite I will let you all know what I find. I have seen the fish in a tank follow and try to strike a laser pointer light so maybe there is something to it. I still doubt it though and will fish it side by side with another crankbait to see what happens. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted January 24, 2009 Super User Posted January 24, 2009 Ryan (Senko77) has hung some fish with it, if I recall correctly. I thought gimmick too, but have never fished with one myself. Quote
senko_77 Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Unfortunately LaserLure has advertised it ALL WRONG! One of my good buddies is real close to the Owner. They aren't a gimmick. They flat out catch. The only problem I have with them is they have crummy hooks. I do know for a fact that Ike and Gary Klein absolutely wasted them on there recent trips where they filmed with it. This year they are putting out a laser jig, and other hard bait models as far as I know. I'm not sponsored by these guys, so don't think I'm tryin to be a patch pirate. Quote
mattm Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Wow....after Senko's endorsement I'm convinced these aren't a gimmick, but I can't believe they aren't. I would of never bought into it without him stepping up. Quote
bmadd Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Just because the lures catch fish does not mean that the actual laser light isn't. I trust Ryan's word the lure catches fish but perhaps it's just because of the design of the hardbaits and has absolutely nothing to do with the light. Ryan, in your opinion, do you think that the blinking light actually attracts more bites or do you think it is just a well designed bait? Quote
