I've been doing a lot of fishing over the last year with smaller cranks and they have produced quite the numbers of fish however most of the fish ive caught have been under 2 pounds. I'm now looking for larger SHALLOW cranks if you guys have suggestions for cranks that are shallow and over 2 3/4" it would be appreciated also included top producing colors.

My biggest crankbait other than a DD22 or 7F Fat Free Shad is the Bomber Balsa B which dives to 3'. It's 2.5", but it's a really big shallow bait. Check it out. I've caught a few fish on it from the bank around 3 ish pounds. Not big, but for Canada, anything over 3 is pretty good, 5 lb can be a personal best.

Remember, a crankbait won't always consistently catch you quality fish

What lure consistently catches quality bass??? I want some of those ;)

The Rapala Shallow Shad Rap size 7 has put many quality fish in my livewell. The X-Rap Shad Shallow size 6 or 8, and DT Fat 03 are a couple more good baits.

JMAC the Lucky Craft RC 1.5 & 2.5 are outstanding baits, Bass Pro usually has them on sale a couple of times a year for $ 9.99. I haven't tried the Bandit Maxx.

Mann's C4 elite.

Can't go wrong with Bagleys B3 either.

What colours do you guys like for the C4?

I have the baby bass and aurora black, but haven't landed any fish on them yet.

Btw, I changed all my elite bait hooks from the red ones to black nickel.

Bagley Balsa B2 or B3 is hard to beat.  And the DB3 deep diver will go  down to at least 14 feet.
